Your tires still have mold release agent on them. It's a lubricant so that the tires can actually be pulled out of the machine they're made in. The layer needs to burn off.

And yes, this thin layer will actually dramatically lower grip. It softens the exterior rubber (not in a way that increases grip).

Wait about 500 miles. That's what most tire manufacturers recommend, iirc.

and u now have taller tread walls which will flex a little more under hard cornering. so as i tire wears a little it actually handles better. i had the exact same issue, but dont worry. give it about 1000 miles to break in and it will be fine

I dunno, 1000 seems a bit much, I'd say 500, tops.

Or you could do a burnout/peelout/launch or two and just take off the release agent almost immediately.
