295/30r19 OK in the rear with 245/40r19 fronts?

I'm definitely in the same boat as you. Stock sport wheels, thinking of running a slightly larger diameter.

Also, nails in the sidewall are indeed pretty much doomed. It damages a lot of the interior reinforcing and things like that. Sidewall is much weaker and is prone to a lot of shear forces during cornering.

Front and rear revolutions per mile won't really be a big deal. Your fronts aren't linked to your rears, so if anything, your speedometer might run a little off (can't remember how our cars calculate speed).

275x0.35 = 96.25mm height
295x0.30 = 88.50mm height (would look okay if car is lowered).

id do 285/35/19 instead.

or did you mean width?

Ya 285/35's would be ideal, but im not that lucky, the 295/30's are basically being handed over to me...
My main concern was that now the front (245/40) will have .7" or so greater diameter than the 295/30's in the rear...Im hoping it wont be visual at all.

Prep the blood and the quill of death and bring out your ignore list. I meant width.

I also think I read that you can't run 285 rears without slight rub. Spacers are required. I still have no idea if I'd want to think about running different camber, although it's not likely.

Thanks for the reply, I figured the speedometer may be a slight issue (I thought I read somewhere something concerning the VDC with diff wheel diameters, but could have been another vehicle)...I may go ahead and mount them, if Im not happy I'll just cough up the cash for new front wheels, maybe 255/35
