except maybe the headliner thing..gotta have my sound deadening headliner haha. Also, that big aero has been done which is why we're at subtle unless you go wide body and don't DD the thing because otherwise it's just not practical.

Not big aero, functional aero.

To me, functional aero is just as practical for daily driving as handling mods. You drive through air on the way to work just like you drive through air on a race track. If you think that functional aero is useless on the street then the same point can be argued for sway bars, coilovers, chassis braces, etc.

Functional aero at what cost? When someone brings functional aero to the street and the car ends up looking like Megatron, then, no I'm sorry. Air on the street with peds/other motorists, should not be funneled through your aero kits the same way it would be on a track. I mean, by the time your using the functionality of the parts your already breaking every law LOL.

I know I sound old but I'm not, and I do drive hard on the street, just not stupid. Anyway - I'm not driving around Miss Daisy, I just dont like BIG functional kits on the street...

The Nismo one is OK. Anything more than that I think is to much. Simple diffusers/accents, and subtle lines is and will always be 'IN'.

Air on the street will move exactly the same way around your car as it will on the track. People walking on the sidewalks will have no effect on the air traveling over your car. Being around other cars will have the same effect on aero that it does on the track when you are in traffic. If you are referring to when you are in heavy traffic then you aren't able to use your power or handling mods either so they are all rice? Its up to you whether you like a certain style or not and nobody is trying to change your mind, but to call someone out and say that their mods are "rice" when they are indeed functional is kinda stupid in my opinion. Just because you don't like the style of functional aero doesn't mean that it shouldn't be done.

And as far as today's styling trends always being "in". People said the same thing about mini trucks in 1993.

Whoa whoa whoa DD, chillax buddy. I didn’t call anything 'rice'. But you have to remember, they usually rate/test aero stuff and how much down force they provide at like 100+ mph. As a daily driver - unless your 100% highway - you’re aero will not provide anything worthwhile, other than having it on and ready for the track. Of course you can have it on for looks, which is OK if it actually LOOKS GOOD.

Now, please...Don’t tell me about what’s 'IN'. If you are to think that giant body kits, led, and wings that look like they were developed by Nasa are going to replace a smooth/subtle accent kit, good suspension and wheels, that can still ALL be functional, well then I must say you must have missed the era of The Fast and the Furious...especially on the street

Now, it’s hard to argue these points online without trying to fill in the blanks but maybe were not understanding each other...To sum it up, I simply don’t think BIG aero will ever replace the difference of say a standard 370Z to a Nismo, or a standard Porsche to a GT2. Those aero changes not only look fantastic/smooth/subtle/clean but they are still very much functional. That’s the difference I am talking about. That’s the 'IN' that will ALWAYS be 'IN'. When people mod their cars to have a form and functional flow cleanly.

Sometimes, what works on the track is absolutely hideous on the street, and it then would be replicated endlessly and become just that...Rice.

NOTE: You can change my first part to 60mph and it would still backup my arguement...I dont know, maybe you guys just have really nice drives to and from work

No no, I am not singling you out personally, just speaking in general. I am not getting upset or uptight about it either lol.

Obviously we have different opinions, we will just keep it at that otherwise we will just keep going around in circles.
