Hopefully I get out to the track a bit this year, once the MS150 is done I should have more free weekends! >.< I am running Ventus V12s in 275-45?

Hopefully I get out to the track a bit this year, once the MS150 is done I should have more free weekends! >.<
I am running Ventus V12s in 275-45? up front and 305/35 in the rear. I am considering going to a thinner tire (width wise, not sidewall wise) probably Michelin PSS's. Overall weight is what matters, but I am trying to select tires based on what I think will work best... so for the same tires saving a couple pounds might make some difference. Just not sure if it is a $3000+ difference... lol.
