Day off so been doing further research and finally found an older thread where u commented cossie on 285 square or 265/285 combo. You said the stretch might not be as safe as 265 on the front. Have you been running 285 as a daily driver or only using your prius, as my car is my daily driver in both summer and winter( with winter rims and tires). Does this change the picture? An would you then recommend the 265/285 combo? I'm sure this will already decrease the understeer but not to the level a square setup
would.

I see also that ad08s can be had in 275/35 would this setup be safer to run square? It would also be a little cheaper.

If you care about going fast, go with the 285 all around. If you are just learning, go with the 265/285 to be more conservative. I am actually getting better wear out of the 285 in the front because my car isn't plowing as hard. I made the mistake of stagger because there weren't many people that can give good references when I first started with the car and I was trying to be too conservative, the novelty wore off after about a month of driving.

I have nothing against the AD08, I just don't like the size they offer. I like the 285/35 for the taller sidewall and a little wider footprint. Regardless, all these freaking tires are expensive and you can't go wrong either way. I think this is my last set. I have a trailer hitch now, I am going back to R comps next year. F these $340 tires.

You can check some of my track videos from this year vs. last, you will see the difference in steering input by just changing the tire size.

Where can I find your vids cossie? And your tire wear is better that's surprising but good to know and no problems running a 285. I read the re11 is less wide than other 285 widths so I guess that's why it works because my research shows that mist people ins that tire size is a bit too large for a 9 inch rim.

i will link you when i get home

285 is definitely not recommended on a 9", but you got to do what you got to do. i couldnt drive the car with the plow i had, my prius was more tossable than the z. the problem will only get worse as you wear the fronts out.

the autox guys run 295 on them, i am sure some has tried 305s

if someone wants to donate me two 19x9 wheels, i will pop the old 265 on and test the speed difference vs the 285f

It's hard to "see" the plow, but here is a video autoxing last year on 265/285 vs 285 all around.

I don't know how much you can pick up from track videos since they are different track, but here is a video from last year vs. this year.

hmm can you run square setup AD-08 295/30R19 with nismo rims? 9.5" front and 10.5" rear.

My RE-11 almost finish and thinking to try AD-08 now.
