I took the plasti dip off as soon as we were done putting it on. Couldn't get the glossy finish I wanted.

Did you paint the inside barrels too? |
The black finish
Has anyone tried putting armorall on the rims for a more glossy look.
Has anyone tried to wax or polish the matte finish? Billy |
nah, I didn't bother painting the inside. too much work

I plasti dip my friends wheels yesterday and it turned out good. But if you want that gloss look you might want to go with regular paint.

Has anyone tried painting over the plastidip? I would like to try painting my rims a Dark grey. I was thinking a couple coats of black plastidip fully dried followed by a couple of coats of a Dark Grey spray paint. Do you think you would still be able peel off the base coat of plastidip effectively removing the top coat as well? I may give it a shot on something other than my car this weekend.

I think it might be possible but it would be a lot harder. You would probably need several layers of plasti dip to make it easier to take off.
