Light weight wheels

I was curious, what light weight wheels are out there for the 370. Light weight meaning less 20 lbs or is that asking too much?

There's a few but here's the 2 that i can remember

i have the YOKOHAMA ADVAN RZ. on my g37, 19x9 front 19x10.
19x10 weighs 19 lbs

Volk Racing re30 limited edition for 19x10 weighs 18.5 lbs. This applies to the CE28'S also.

Hope that helps. UNSRUNG WEIGHT FTW:tup::tup:

Thanks! Do you have any pics of your wheels? I was looking at May's issue of Super Street and they featured Zele's 370Z. It had some gorgeous 20 inch TE-37's. I believe it said it was the generation 2 of the TE-37. I have to find out how much those weigh and if they are even available.

Are you a dealer for ADVAN RZ's? If so, care to PM me the pricing of the wheels in the stock 370Z sport wheel offset/sizes?

shabarivas 04-21-2009 10:49 AM

Dude... CEs > Advans all day long :)

Lou, do you have any black CE's in 370Z sizing and offset? If you do how much do they weigh?

shabarivas 04-21-2009 04:18 PM

I know my CE's on the VQ which are 19x9.5 and 19x10.5 are about 18/19lbs each :)

5 lbs. unsprung savings per wheel is very nice. It also seems like a good way to go to a bit wider and still sneak under stock wheel/tire weight.

Do you think 19" Volks will be able to handle mid-sized pothole hits? Oakland has less-than-ideal streets...

mcheddadi 04-21-2009 06:00 PM

14.8lbs 18x9
+ clears the brembos on sport pack

potholes are only really a concern if you are driving w/ cheap cast wheels... unless you are driving it like you stole it over them.... forged wheels can take QUITE a beating....

Volk racing monoblocks are forged wheels and are very strong. They can take a beating like no other, but of course, if you hit something hard enough, concrete usually wins:tup:
