5 lbs. unsprung savings per wheel is very nice. It also seems like a good way to go to a bit wider and still sneak under stock wheel/tire weight.

Do you think 19" Volks will be able to handle mid-sized pothole hits? Oakland has less-than-ideal streets...

yes yes.... for every 2 lbs of unsprung weight equals to about 32 lbs of weight savings....:tup:

I can but there is no perfect size for the RZ's for the 370z. Too conservative

here's an alternative.... the new ADVAN RS-D

19X9 +25
19X10 +15

colors available are black, silver and bright chrome

If you have the sport package, you don't have to buy new tires, you can use the OE RE050 , upgrading looks, offset(wider track)

Interesting route. I was wondering what would happen if I took the unfashionable route and went with smaller wheels, but I was worried about the caliper clearance. I will say, you can't claim all the weight savings unless you have tire weight factored in as well. You're going to need more rubber to keep the radius. That said, smaller wheels will definitely be an advantage. I give them .1 sec on 0-60 though, not .5

I was thinking of following Nismo's example and going with 9.5 and 10.5 width. Do you think they'll do those widths and appropriate offsets in that wheel? (my guess is no).

And thanks all for the comments about bending. I'm coming out of MR2-land, so I haven't had wheels this large to deal with. AW11 owners are experts at conserving rotational momentum (I've got ultralight 15s!) :icon17:

:iagree:
I was thinking about going the 18 inch route as well but was wondering how would they look.

For the track I have been thinking of 9.5x18's on all four corners with maybe 275's. It would allow for tire rotation but I believe you would have to use spacers to do it right if you wanted the same offset on the wheels.

Anyone done this yet?

Do you have them in 19x10.5? Care to give me the price and weight of these wheels? If you could do so in an offset that sits relatively flush with the fender that would be greatly appreciated.

Also, are these forged?

I know, a lot of questions... sorry.

He says they are "9,5 x 10,5 et11" but does not mention diameter. I assume 19's.

Edit 2: how big of a tire can you fit on 19x9.5 +22 and 19x10.5 +12

yes, I have. I run a set of 4 rear 350Z track Rays wheels, widened 1" to 9.5 +46 offset, with a 20mm spacer in the rear to bring them out. The only potential problem is tire height in R compounds. They make
275/35-18 which are 25.4" tall. Stock is 26.6/

With the car lowered, I wound up scraping the bottom of the bumper where it meets the undertray (stillen bumper) every time I hit a braking zone and completely ground that part of the bumper away. Now I run 295/40-18 Hoosiers, which are 27.3" tall, but they get the job done.

This is an early shot of my car with the 275s on it and lowered only on eibachs.

this is it with the 295s:

Anyone know how big of a tire can you fit on 19x9.5 +22 and 19x10.5 +12??

Assume Swift springs and roll if necessary.
