My problem is that the stock tires do not provide enough grip at the drag strip. would upgrading my tires and going with a 305 give me enough traction to

My problem is that the stock tires do not provide enough grip at the drag strip. would upgrading my tires and going with a 305 give me enough traction to launch and not spin the whole time. I only drive the car on the weekend and only if the weather is nice so I don't care about traction during wet or ice. With the SC anything over 5k RPM's the car is getting lose in the first 3 gears
