Looks good, are those rims painted or are they like that on the 40th?

Just experimented with bigger sizes on stock sport wheels and it was a bloody fortune. Stock sizes it will be when I am ready to order tires.

What??? That's like having too large a spoiler on a Civic! Can't be too large!! :roflpuke2:
Still: I like the 'look' of the 305's even if there is no performance advantage. As long as there is no major drawbacks to performance with these size tires, I will go with them! |

Stock sizes are good. Bigger is not necessary, only for that one guy posting that he wants to put Rear size stock Rays rims on the front and the back rims running 275 in the front and 305 in the rears.

305 is nearly an inch wider than 285, definitely worth it. Problem is that the stock 10" is kind of narrow for it, the fronts are an issue too as they are 9". I would love 305 35 19 F & R if I have the rims, 4 stock Nismo rear rims maybe?
|
Nismo rear is 19X10.5 +23, which I don't see working with a 305 on the front.

Just grabbed a set for myself. Someone brought them up today in a conversation on another forum...I've always bought Michelins for my 350Z and didn't even know that a PS2 replacement was out. Everything I've read about them sounds absolutely astonishing. I've only put 8K miles on the OEM Bridgestones, but they've gotten a little too loud for my liking at this point. So once I saw how superb the Super Sports are, I simply pulled the trigger and snatched them up.
Can't wait to receive the tires. The rears are also 5lbs lighter than OEM, and the front are 3lbs lighter - those are pretty significant differences to me, especially 5lbs for each driven wheel. |
I also ordered a set today. The discount pricing and $70 rebate card ends this weekend I believe.

Yea will see. |
Hahaha, wtf. All of us ordered them on the same day.
I haven't been this excited about a tire...ever. |
I have about 9,000 miles on my Super Sports and they are, by far, the best tire I have ever used. Just a thought.

Hayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy Arnold (haha that was a joke)
Anyway, you kept the stock size or went wider? |

Stock size. Don't want to lose sidewall, see no sense in going wider either, also don't feel like adding weight to the tire. 275 is more than wide enough for the power output of our cars.

My PSS were delivered to my parent's house today. Can't wait to check them out this weekend.
FWIW, I suggest trying to wear your new tires around your neck like a large necklace. It's fun. And just a cool thing to do... In the privacy of your own garage, of course. |

If I was real small I'd wear the tires and take some Michelin Man pics, but I think I'll just enjoy these rubbers tires in private.
Oh c'mon, this is totally normal relative to Phelan's pillow fetish :tiphat: |
