I personally think in the aftermarket world for cars you experience all sorts of customer service . This includes performance parts , wheels , stereo , and even dealerships trying to rip you off on install prices .. Some how these Vendors local retailers and internet retailers have lost their way . I have been ripped off before . I gave HPAuto ( Andy ) $4500.00 for a BBK I never received . I lost my money. That has left a very bad taste in my mouth for the industry. Only a handful of vendors and retailers I believe understand customer service . Chris at WheelsDirect and Clyde from Forged Specialties is one of them and I am going to tell you why..

I purchased a set of F/S wheels from Chris and after 3 mnths of waiting I received them . There was some issues . They were sent back . Chris was going to have the issues fixed and when I finally received them there was more issues. I was Pissed . So pissed I took it to the forum . If you care the thread is here on this forum and I am sure you can dig it up. Keep in mind Chris had responded and followed up in regards to every pm , email and text message . Yeah he gave me his cell phone # .Who does that right ?? I kept having this gut feeling that I was going to get screwed . So I warned everyone on the forum .No matter how angry I was , Chris never lost his cool. I sent him some awful text messages , pm and emails. More awful text messages and he still did not lose his cool. You could imagine the things I was saying to this guy . Even though he assured me that it would be fixed I still was impatient and even childish at times. I kept having HPAuto flash backs. Once again he never lost his cool...

All I could do was look at these wheels in my garage and keep trying to figure out how this happened . Chris kept assuring me that it would be taken care of . After not having wheels for almost 5 mnths I was done. I filed a charge back with my CC company . I was thinking pick up your piece of schit wheels and give me my money back you fcker. Once again Chris did not lose his cool. I was told F/S would call and fix it and they did. I spoke with Clyde who is to my understanding the owner of the company . He listened to everything I said and assured me it would be fixed . He sent me shipping labels via email and I dropped them off at UPS . Off they went .I was still thinking you can keep your wheels I want my money back ..

Clyde had the wheels shipped to his house and he also gave me his cell # so I could reach him at anytime. Who does that right ? He assured me this will be fixed and he would also keep me updated through the whole process. He did . He would answer and return all my calls , text and emails . In the meantime I had NO idea that if you file a charge back it can take up to 72 days for the retailer to receive their money . I found this out through Chris . I finally realized that schit does happen and not everyone wants to rip you off Blaine .Thats me. I cancelled the charge back . So I waited . As the wheels are almost refinished and fixed Chris sends me a text stating they are going to ship the wheels even though he does not have the money . WTF ????? Are you kidding me ?? I slammed you , WheelsDirect and F/S on the forum and chewed you out I cant even remember how many times . Who does this ? I am dumb founded.

I received a email last week that the wheels would be shipping and arrive on 4/25. Alot is going through my mind . Are they going to be fixed ? Will there be any issues and lastly I realize how childish I was during this inconvenience
for both parties.. All I can say is these wheels are fcking awesome !! No issues at all. They are perfect .. How does a company who still does not have their money and is waiting because of me do this . Well I can tell you ...... Chris from WheelsDirect and Clyde from Forged Specialties has in my opinion gone way above customer service here. They have INTEGRITY and most important in the car aftermarket world the have OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE. They are one of the only few out there. Once again Chris and Clyde I am Sorry!!!! Blaine

interesting story, and a good recommendation. was anything ever done about your BBK? couldn't you take someone to small claims court or something?

Good question. Nothing was ever done in regards to the bbk. I filed complaints and even if I took him to small claims I would have to stand in line to get my money back. Hpauto has ripped off a lot of people. There is no money to get back..
