25mm spacer in the rear with 305's will have your tire sticking out about 1/2" past the side of the car. I have 305's in the rear with 20mm spacers and they stick out a little past the fender. I'm most likely going to a 15mm spacer in the rear.

Thanks for the info, do you have any photos with your 305's and 20mm spacer?

flashburn 04-13-2011 07:29 AM

Yeah, I'd like to see a picture of that too. I'm thinking about either getting 285's again, or upping to 305.

Hows the drive and response of the 285's in the rear? Also, what size were you running on the fronts with that size? I'm curious because I was deciding to go with 285's or maybe even wider...

flashburn 04-14-2011 05:38 AM

It seems good, I don't have any complaints. I'm not sure about running 305 on the stock wheel, I have safety concerns with that, same with running anything higher than 265 on the fronts. I'm running 255 on the front right now. I'm going to move up to 265.

How do you like your V12's? I got the bfgoodrichs bc im bring my car to some tracks this summer and heard they have a lot of tire roll.

i am sorry, but all the fuss about tire size when you can get a grippy tire in 245 and be able do go faster

For some reason the drivers side sticks out a little more than the passenger side. Camber is dead on... just had alignment done.

This is 305's with 20mm H&R DRS spacers. Most likely going to go down to a 15mm. I can't imagine 305's with 25mm.... Would look stupid in my opinion.

Stock rays are 10" wheels which are within spec for 305's. No safety issues at all.

Seriously?... When's the last time you saw a high horsepower car running around with "grippy" 245's?

E46 M3 had Pilot Sport 255. 350Z had 235 pr 245 pr 255, depending on the model. RS4 had 255.

It's not just the size, compound is even more important.

Thanks for the feedback, I am leaning now towards the 265/35/19 & 285/35/19 on 19" sport rims.

ZForce 04-20-2011 12:45 AM

Agreed, drivers side does look like it sticks out more....tires maybe. That would be the max I would want mine to stick out. I am not one for the flush look, as long as the tires do not look goofy then I am good with a little buldge. It gives it the "something is happening in the rear look". My 275/35/19 rears look a little more tucked at the top and I am running -1.0 camber so they are pretty straight up. Your photos and setup give me a good idea how my 25mm spacers will look on 285/35/19. Thanks for posting up these pics. I agree the 15mm will look better on your 305.

I noticed your sig has spacers listed in reverse order? 25mm / 20mm
What size spacers are you running up front?

Need to change sig.

Was running 25mm rears / 20mm fronts... Ichiba bolt-ons.

Then i went to the H&R DRS spacers that replaced the studs and went to 20mm all around.
