Swap TPMS from stock 18's to stock 19" Rays

You SHOULD NOT have to have the TPMS reset. They are just pressure monitors. Nothing else. The monitors are mated to your car, so the wheels shouldn't matter.
If you were going to a different car, then yes, they would need resetting.

I have no intention of flaming/fighting but just to clarify what you are saying:
Example, if he has 18s right now, and the tire size is 18/245/40 with TPMS checking PSI being in 40lb area, your telling me that when moving the TPMS to a 19s which will be 19/255/35, TPMS will not trigger that the tire is below 40lbs?

Correct. The TPMS is not the brain. They are just transmitters of the tire pressure. If the car sees that the tire pressure is below 29lbs (I think that's the threshold), then the light goes off.

Thanks, i was hoping this was the case, dont want to take it to dealer to reset. now i just have to unmount the tires from my 18's to get them out, what a pain...

Hey Tom,

I've seen some TPMS go for under $100 on here, which I think would be cheaper than having your tires unmounted and then re-mounted, and save you the pain in the arse of doing it every season.

Might be worth posting up in the 'wanted' section and see if you can get a set on here cheap.

I forgot to mention when you came by, you might want to throw a nice coat of Wheel Wax on those Ray's to give them some protection from scratches and keep them looking nice and glossy.

only thing with getting new tpms is it would have to be reprogrammed also, but if price is right may be worth it
From everything ive read, seems that reusing original tpms from my 18's may be best route, i wont be taking them off again, so no need to do it every season,
guess ill need to weigh which option is best and least amount of hassle,
just want to get it done quick so car is ready to be on the road soon with my nice new powder coated RAYS

Another suggestion for you. Since you're going to be swapping the TPMS, you might want to look into getting a new mounting kit (not sure what it's really called). It would contain new gaskets and such to make sure that you get a good seal on the new rims. It's not 100% needed as long as the old ones are removed carefully.
