And GT3s are fly because they are GT3s... not 370zs with crazy colored wheels and accessories.

^_^

well obviously the wheels would need powdercoating.

And i bet when the designer at Porsche first told management of the idea to paint a Porsche's rims Bright Red/Pink/Orange, they laughed at him and told him that its not a civic....and now GT3's are fly...

Powdercoat the wheels and do vinyl accents over the mirrors and along the side skirts and wing.

To make the look for "fitting", the car would need to have a heavy track-ready look (like the GT-3) or have a super aggressive stance IMO

LOL

So you are saying that Civics were the first car to have painted wheels?

I'm not sure if you know this or not, but Porsche has been offering colored wheels for special versions of the 911 since the 70s.

I'm just saying... if you want to get creative... awesome... but there is a line between being different and being tacky and tasteless.

And the 370Z is not a Porshce GT3.

If I owned a porsche, it wouldn't have lookatme ugly vinyl or painted rims. Gross!

JJ-NISMO 02-17-2011 04:17 PM

The grey GT3 RS with red is incredibly good looking in person. Generally the porsche models that offer color accents are the race/track inspired models, hence the track oriented appearance..........

just to give you an idea....my buddy Andy's car back in 2007...

I'm thinking of powdercoating the Forgestar F14s I have on order either harley orange or lime green. they will be track wheels.

FuszNissan 02-18-2011 07:27 PM

I don't know if the Harley orange would have enough depth. I do like the direction your going. It's a pretty flat orange right?

no, this one has a pearl to it. Although the rest of my car will be matte black soon.

This might be a little 80s, but I love white on white.
