Copied from another forum:

-ALL 19" sized REAL TE-37s come with embossing (Rays, Volk Racing, etc);
-ALL 20" sized REAL TE-37s come with embossing (Rays, Volk Racing, etc);
-ONLY SOME 18" sized REAL te-37s come with embossing-- there are some sizes that do NOT (i.e. the 18x9.5 and 10.5s in the Z +22 offsets)

In order to combat the fake Volks the following changes have now been made by Rays:

i love forums because people are such jokers here.
who cares if they look exactly like the real thing.
unless your are getting them from an authorized dealer or someone that can prove that they bought the wheels from one, i would be cautious.
in bangkok every third honda jazz, every other toyota yaris(yar-it if your thai), almost every toyota alphard(it's a pimp *** 140k usd van for those of you who have seen very little in this world) and most of the civics', camrys', nissan teannas'(they tend to use works more of often) HAS A SET OF TE37 THAT YOU COULDN'T THE DIFFERENCE UNTIL YOU CRASH INTO A CURB LMAO. Too bad the shop there tell you its fake and charge you the fake prices but here in NA most people don't have that kind of courtesy or the buyer is just out to lunch. i will post pics next time im there. btw i have been to places in the city where the rent is 150 usd for 600sqft but every car in the parking lot has at the very least a brembo bbk. i thought those were real too, NOT lol

My concern would be that there is no way the paint is going to match front to back since only two of the wheels were powdercoated. The Volk matte black is not like any matte or satin black powdercoat I've ever seen.

let me reiterate myself
those features that you posted can be made and are made during the extensive bootlegging process.lol. a single "A" bootleg will have those features

like i said when i get a chance i will post pics

i can agree with the fact that you should only purchase vr wheels from an authorize agent the rest of that crap can be made sorry to say.

You can dress up a tranny to look like a woman and they will still be a man with their clothes off.

Conversely, put the fake TE on a scale and that POS will be heavy from the cast forging as opposed to the forged lightweight wheel that the authentic will be.

I agree with you.
The weighing them will most likey screen out a fake.
Thanks for agreeing with me that your post about the markings being an anti-counterfeiting measure is complete bs. It would probably work for some low grade counterfeits. I said single "A" meaning that it comes from a factory with ISO certification and that the wheels are actually aluminum. So those markings are no obstacle. but the whole weighing thing is pretty good, as good or even better then getting from an authorize dealer. there is no escaping that unless your scale is busted.
