Default Need Help with Wheels

Hey guys,
I'm looking to pick up a set of Volk TE37 SL wheels, but I'm a little concerned with the offsets that they offer. I guess these wheels are spec'd better for 350z/g35's. I want to go with 19's, so the specs would be as follows:

Wheels
Front - 19x9.5 +22
Rear - 19x10.5 +12

Tires (reuse stock tires - only have 2,400 miles on them)
Front - 245/40WR19
Rear - 275/35WR19

Suspension
Stock - but may do some mild lowering springs

So based on those specs, am I going to rub? I want an aggressive (almost flush) look, but I'm also trying to keep my alignment/camber etc. as close to stock as possible. If it's going to rub, what would I need to do to "make them work" ... Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Also, please post pics of your setup if its close to the specs that I want above.

Thanks!

Those fitments will look awesome, they will be aggressive, but with the same tires youll be perfect. If you have a rubbing issue which I highly doubt, the tire sizes your running should not rub at all. If you go bigger, probs a camber kit for the rear to give a little negative camber, but besides that you should be fine.

.. Everybody's running that exact setup.

Official VOLK 370Z Thread: POST UM UP!

Go look in here for a lot of examples of the same wheel size/offset. Many of them even run wider tires than stock with no problems.

Its a reasonable question, I mean offsets and sizing you dont want to get wrong. Let me know if you ever have any other questions.

Yeah, I've skimmed through that thread before but I was just looking for a more in depth discussion for my own setup. I just want to make sure one last time that these will bolt in place without modifications... before I lay out $1000's of dollars for wheels to find out they dont work very well, or I really have to make a ton of adjustments to make them work. Know what I mean?

Yeah, I believe the pre-order is for October-November... but I dont mind the wait. If you have some other sick wheels in mind with similar specs, I'm open for suggestions. Send me a PM if you like.

Thanks!

Those will look great on your Red Z. I really don't think you will have any problem running those offsets. At least I hop you don't. I have a set on order and I plan on mounting 265s F and 305s R.

Oh nice man! Did you order the same specs that I want? and what did you get for a pre-order time frame? Still October-November? Thanks

I debated between the SLs and standard TEs. They gave me an October-November time from for both if I ordered a set. I ended up finding some standard TEs that were already inbound to the US so I should have them before October. Mine are the exact same sizes and offsets you are looking at. There are many people running those sizes so you shouldn't have any problem especially running 245 F and 275 R. If my car was red I would have definitely gone with the SL. It's such a nice looking wheel!

Hey RedZed,

Currently the offsets offered are the best offsets for the 370z. Rays really geared these towards the entire Z/G market. The sizing offered is on our official preorder thread but to make it easier, here's the sizing-

19x9.5 +22
19x9.5 +12
19x10.5 +22
19x10.5 +12
19x11 +23

With that being said, if you plan on running close to stock tire sizing, I would recommend the 19x9.5/19x10.5 +12 combo all around. The 19x11 and 19x9.5 +22 would work if you wanted to run wider tires than stock (255-265 fronts, 305-315 rears).

With that being said, all of the other TE's would also work as they are offered in the same size/offset, with the exception of the 19x11 (which is SL only) just cheaper and lighter.

Here's the preorder thread in case you're interested-
