New Wheels - Avant Garde M310's

Just threw on my new wheels and tires today. Avant Garde M310's. 19x9.5 ET+20 with 245/40/19's in the front. 19X11 ET+18 with 285/35/19's in the rear. I went with the Hankook V12's.

The pics are horrible and the car is filthy but I snapped a few anyway. As much as I would love to lower the car, it just aint happening in South Jersey.

I love the wheel design, but it's really hard to notice the design detail when they're painted that dark. Black chrome would look awesome.

Big J 07-15-2010 05:39 PM

I love it. You suck!!

kgreen 07-15-2010 06:04 PM

lower it

Danny3.7 07-15-2010 09:30 PM

RichZ 07-15-2010 09:37 PM

Rays 07-16-2010 12:27 AM

Clean...nice set up man

Waiz 07-16-2010 01:12 AM

Nice color contrast.

Ztoon 07-16-2010 01:53 AM

Great rim design..... Love the black on white!

Have you thought about bringing it together with some headlight work?

TonyBPD 07-16-2010 05:01 AM

Thanks for the compliments! In time I may do the headlights and black out the fangs up front. As much as I would love to lower it, it would be a nightmare. I have to go through detours everyday to get to and from work. I have to drive very carefully now and couldn't imagine doing so with this car 1+ lower.

Nitex 07-16-2010 09:43 AM

Good stuff Tony.. Did you happen to get a weight from the factory? or even better weigh them yourself. I was all ready to take a chance with Forgestar till i saw these.. Any idea if they are cast or forged..

For that price, they have to be cast. Doesn't mean they're not quality, though. Honestly considering some for our Z.

My guess is that they weigh just under 30 lb a piece in the rear, under 28 in the front. Cast 19's are heavy! No hiding from that.

Does that extra weight hurt acceleration in a 332+ BHP car? No not really, but it will affect handling since it's adding to the unsprung weight at each corner.

Nitex 07-16-2010 12:32 PM

Yes well flowform cast is very light in comparison.. The forgestars are 21-22lbs in 19s for only 1400 a set. If these are flowformed also, this could be a good find.

Taken from modbargains website:

"Weight - Forgestar wheels are also much lighter than cast wheels. The 19x8.5 F05 & F14 wheels both weigh an amazingly light 22.5 lbs, where a cast wheel of this same size would weigh anywhere from 27-30 lbs. This is a saving of roughly 5-7 pounds per wheel makes a BIG difference in regards to handling and drivability. "

the 18s are 18.3lbs... And im considering just going 18s. Sorry im not trying to thread jack, just trying to figure out how the avants are made..

TonyBPD 07-16-2010 02:52 PM

I didn't weigh them. They are a tad heavier then the stock 18's but nothing too crazy.

KingZee 08-04-2010 12:22 AM

looks nice dude...really interested in the weight of these for 19x11s. If they're under 23 lbs they're perfect for $1200.

TonyBPD 08-04-2010 09:46 PM

I don't think they are that light. I would say they are closer to 29 or 30. I will weight the rim and tire when I take them off this winter.

AK370Z 08-06-2010 03:05 PM

Looks good TONY! I know what you mean about our roads here. But I think you can get away with a little drop. How about Nismo S-Tune suspension? A little better handling and little drip ;)? Take a look:

I'm 99% sure those offset are +20 and +18, not negative

Just a FYI

LOL. I didn't mean that they were negative. I was just using it as a dash.

TonyBPD 08-06-2010 06:55 PM

That Nismo set is nice but if I do it, I'm going coilovers. :happydance:

K_J 10-19-2010 09:29 PM

I want these in hyper silver with my solid red Z.

Waiz 10-19-2010 09:40 PM

This was another members set on his Z before he sold the car, I really liked they way they looked in person.

How much did you pay? Where did you get it from?

TonyBPD 10-30-2010 11:36 AM

I got mine from getyourwheels.com I think I paid $2050 for everything

speedworks 12-08-2010 06:00 PM

Getting close to pulling the trigger on these (thinking of having them pc'd bronze). Any issues since you've purchased them?

God-Speed 12-08-2010 10:46 PM

Speedworks, I have been thinking the same. I just don't know if I want to go with black or the silver.

BennytheBlade 12-08-2010 11:24 PM

Looks great. Black and white is a great combo.

I am still leaning towards the Forgestars simply because of the weight factor, but those look perfect in hyper silver. Maybe lighter tires could help offset some of the added weight?

ncheung85 12-16-2010 12:33 AM

Nice picture Waizz. I was having a hard time choosing these or the F14. But I finally made my final decision and going with the F14.

Chris get yourself some f14. lol
