Looking for tires SIMILAR to GTR tires for my 370Z 19" Sport

Title says it all. Just looking for something rather aggressive for some track use and I like the R compound look as well. I love the GTR tires RE070R. However,

Default Looking for tires SIMILAR to GTR tires for my 370Z 19" Sport

Title says it all. Just looking for something rather aggressive for some track use and I like the R compound look as well. I love the GTR tires RE070R. However, they are designed ONLY for the GTR in 20" sizes or 17" sizes for STI's.

I know many people like the Ventus V12 tires and they are a great price.... they aren't what I'm looking for. Perhaps a set of Nitto NT-55's might do.

I might track the car once a month or every 3 months, I don't know. But I live in SW Florida and rain is an issue, but cold weather is not.

Looking for 305/30/19 in the rear and not sure about the front yet.

If nobody finds anything I like then I'll probably end up with some Potenza RE-11's

I am using them, great tires, but they are not R comps. You are looking at a 1-3 sec disadvantage per lap with those tires vs. a true R comp

RE11's are probably the right tire for you. Check out Nitto NT05's too. I have them and they are awesome tires.

Just to elaborate on this...The Bridgestone GT R tire is a good all season, run flat tire. However, it is by no stretch of the imagination a competitive track tire. NISSAN says the optional Dunlop GT R tires are around 1 second per mile faster than the Bridgestone's. However, the Dunlops wear faster (despite their higher tread wear rating) than the Bridgestone's.

So, is your goal to have an aggressive looking tire that is similar to the GT R tires, or is your goal to have a good track day tire? With that same thought in mind, will you have a second set of wheels/tires for the street or are these also going to be used on the street?

Yeah mostly street use but I'm not too concerned about mileage. If I can get 25,000 miles on the tires then I'm happy.

I've also been trying to find a cheap set of black or gun metal 20's for everday use but I don't think my budget will flex that much.

I'll check into those Dunlops. Had some Dunlops on a previous car and loved them.

Yeah I remember checking out your tires at the last cruise we were at and liked them but couldn't remember what they were.

25k miles is a lot of miles for any tires on a sports car. If you are doing track days, be happy with 10-15k on re11s.

Maybe try the hankook rs3 I think it is? A softertire than the ventus.
