Ok here's one for you.

I have a 2009 NISMO with 10.5" rear rims. From what I've read here a 305-30-19 would be the largest tire for this wheel.

However a friend (self proclaimed expert) says "ah you can put a 325-30-19 on that wheel, I've seen it done all the time and those manufacturers min/max rim sizes are just guide lines."

Please help me with this guy. If it does fit which it doubt it's going to be totally unsafe or look like crap. I'm not sure I would even want to go with the 305, the 285 seems about right to me.

Thanks for any help.:D

That's what I plan on doing:stirthepot:

Hey Guys-

I'm looking at a set of Titan 7 T-R10s in 18x10.5 +22 squared. Thinking about running 275/35 on all 4, and was wondering if I need to be concerned with rubbing or needing spacers. The car is a nice weather street car with occasional track use, will be on HKS coils, and OEM Akebono brakes.

Thanks in advance.

Rears will fit no problem, same offset and width as stock nismo. It will look like **** bc its sunk

Fronts will need camber and also look like **** bc its more aggresive than the rear

Squared setup is good for track performance
It looks terrible

Also i doubt it will be a problem since the t7’s are meant for track, but you will want to contact Titan to make sure they clear akebonos

My friend have a set of 18x9.5 et 25 konig dekagram with 245/40/r18 indy500 tires. Tires are brand new.
He willing sell to me for really cheap. I have sport package brakes.
Could anyone help me about these questions please?
1. Front will fit no problem?
2. Rear need a 15-20mn spacers?
3. Could I run these 245/40/18 for DD?

I am planning to run 275/40/18 or 275/35/18 when these 245 are done.

Thanks in advanced.

Don’t buy those, at least not as a set. Fronts are ok, rears way too conservative. Worse than stock nismo. Spacer isn’t solving that

They will look like **** and are too narrow for performance

Save your money. Don’t buy wheels because they’re cheap. Buy them because they fit

New Tires

Hey all, I've been lurking in these Forums since I bought my Z trying to gain as much knowledge as I can.

I have a 2019 Nismo, for all intents & purposes it's all stock as still warranty left, haha.

It's time for new tires and I have narrowed it down to the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S after talking to a couple friends and reading thru some other threads here.
While I'm getting new tires I thought I might do what I could to fill up some more space in the wheel wells. Ideally I'd like the rears to stick out from the fender ~5 MM and the fronts to be flush.

I've seen alot of talk about putting 285/35R19 (stock rear size) on the front and 305/35R19 in the back. Would this achieve my objective or would I need to use wheel spacers (not a big fan)?

Any guidance you fine forum members can impart would be appreciated.

Thanks!

305 is a little big for a 10.5" rim.

If you put 285/35/19 on the front you need a 325/30/19 on the rear. They will bulge some. 265/35/19 front and 305/30/19 rear would be more in line.

Thanks DaveZ, that was my concern, non stock size on a stock wheel.

Unfortunately wheels aren't in the budget right now since I'm still in the middle of a lift kit, new wheels & tires on my Wrangler.

Thanks for the reply Spooler, I don't have money in the budget for new wheels, only the tires right now (see above reply to DaveZ03) so only have my stock wheels.
I thought the 305 would be stretching to get on the stock wheel much less a 325.
Getting tires flush w/ the fender is what I'm looking to do on the fronts, but I'm not sure a 265 would accomplish that w/o a wheel spacer.

You cannot achieve flush fitment by changing tire sizes. Flush fitment is determined by wheel width, offset, and alignment. Since new wheels aren't currently in you budget, you'll have to use spacers (20-25mm). As mentioned above, 265/35/19 with 305/30/19 is a popular pairing. Read THIS THREAD if you want to become more familiar with wheel/tire sizing.

Thanks k67p67!!

That was exactly what I was looking for!

Thanks k67p67! That is exactly what I was looking for.

I apparently missed the Wheel Fitment sticky during my perusal. I saw this one and the Wheel Spacer 101.
