Default need opinions on my new wheels..

Hey Guys.. just wanted to get your thoughts on my new Advans..

First off I ordered these from DrivelineMotoring (sponsor here) Eric had the hook up with these.. way cheaper than any local places here. (Chicago area)

I ordered Advan RS-D's in silver, 19x9 +25 and 19x10 +15, I transferred the stock Potenza's (245/40 and 275/35) to these wheels and in my opinion, even though they are the same size wheel, the tires look way stretched.

I'm thinking of going with the setup that ResIpsa posted, 305/30 and 265/35 RE-11's.

Also, looks like my centercap doesn't match very well, may order the black one instead.

Thoughts? Am I crazy? here's some pics..

Something looks off, but I still like the rims. Are you going to keep those tires?

The rear wheels look too narrow for the wheel wells.

looks good, but I think it will look better with a 10mm spacer in back and fuller tires once you wear these out

agree, throw a spacer on the rears, and get a bigger tire than 275 in the rear. you can go 305/265, i personally won't go higher than 295/255

Thanks guys.. the rears are actually pretty flush.. Its probably the stretched-ness of the tire thats making it look weird.. time to go tire shopping..

Go with the Potenza 305's. It's what I use. Griptastic.

You can pick a good used pair on Ebay for less than the price of one new. I got 2 295/19's P-Zero Rosso's for $150 shipped for my last Z. They retail for $498 each new. Had 70% tread and were flawless. Just got my wife 4 tiger paws for the Element(my orange toast machine) for $220 shipped. 75% tread. Flawless.

Tire stretch ruins wheels. No protection at all for your lip. One pothole will be all it takes. I can't tell you how many times I have had a light scrub to the tire wall on a curb and my 295 and 305's saved my lip.

^^ agreed, I actually had a little curbage on the stock rim that I didn't even notice till the guys unmounted them, almost afraid to drive it now..
But actually just ordered 305/30 and 255/35 Nitto Invo's... Should look much better soon.

Yeah I would get RE-11's, I have them and love em'. I have only drove on them for 2 days so far but I can tell these are the best tires I have ever used.

Nice wheels but I suggest powdercoating them black or gunmetal.
