Yes..Because honestly, if the light hadn't lit up on the dash, I wouldn't have known..possibly until it went completely flat and I ruined a wheel!? My husband came home (scolded me for jacking up my car unsupervised) and now has the wheel down to the local tire shop. All should end well! That was probably scary on the motorycle!

Exactly. Haha, no, it wasn't scary on the bike. I saw it when it was in the garage. No air had leaked, it was a nice tight screw, the best kind

and +1 rep for the first woman I've ever known who took off a wheel

well heck, since your handing out reps, I should mention I used to ride a bike myself back in the day. LOL. Husband had a GSXR and I had a Ninja 600R. This was pre-children, when I wasn't as worried about staying alive

I would have taken out my wife for diner and dancing as you did the right thing by saving the tire from further sidewall damage had more air escaped and the rim placed the weight of the Z on the flat tire! And pics to boot!

Rep Point for doing the right thing!

P.S. You husband is awfully short in that pic.

Here's the quick fix method. Drain all air from the tire, remove the screw and add some sealant to the threads. Reinstall the screw and tighten. Let the sealant set before re-inflating. Then take it to the tire shop and get it fixed properly.

I agree with the poster above. If you (and your son!) jacked up the car and removed the wheel, hubby should take you both to dinner! French restaurant!
