Drag Radials on 19" Sport Wheels

What DRs are you using on your sport wheels and how do you like them? What size and how wide can you go? Where can I find the best pricing

Please indicate if you are lowered or stock height. Thanks!

Default Not drag radials but...

FYI - I have Cooper RS3-S 325/30-19 performance tires on my 10" rear Rays which are almost 12" section width to give you an idea how wide you can go. I am lowered on Swifts as you are. There is some 'pootch' past the rim but no rubbing. The tires are even with the fenders with no spacers.

Where are you at in NC?

Hopefully someone who is actually running drag radials will chime in.

Good luck!

Thanks! I do have spacers so I do have to take that into account. I'd like to stick with the factory sidewall so my speedometer isn't off in addition to it offering more traction/flex than a smaller sidewall. But I know it's dependent on available tire sizes as well.

I'm hopeful someone with DRs will chime in too.

I'm right outside of Charlotte in Newton.

Factory tire diameter is ~27" so you want to be as close as possible. I ended up swapping my 285-35s to the front since they fit and are the same diameter. For drag racing you'd want a much narrower tire so maybe stick with 245-40s but keep in mind, it will effect your everyday handling due to increased understeer with all that width out back. Your spacers reduce the neg offset of the stock sport wheels. I used this calculator which you can use to determine the difference from your present setup to proposed to make sure it will fit before you buy:

Greensboro here.

Good luck!

I go to Greensboro quite often for work. Nice to meet you.

Anybody with DRs?

A DR on a 19 wheel, I would be interested to see what kinda of 60 ft times this produces.

I was gonna get a couple 305/35/18 MT et streets ss to fit a set of Rovos Durban whees but with winter just knocking on our door. It will have to wait until next year.
