Default Replacing OEM Yokos with Michelin A/S 3 +

Have a 2016 Touring Coupe and not happy with the OEM Advan Sport as they seem to vibrate for a few miles when cold and are always very noisy. Need to go with an all season for winter so settled on Michs. My buddy also recommends an all around fill up with nitrogen at 36 psi.

Anybody got comments. Anything appreciated.

Same with my Yokes on my 2009. Trying something different and installed Michelin A3 on the rear($155x2)at Discount tire. There is another Michelin w/ 90k mile warranty that got good scores on tirerack, but nothing about tracking in my research. I live in hot Florida to be fair. Also my rear camber was out by -.7 so it wore the inside making the Yoko tires roar.

Thanks for the response. I will have the alignment checked with the new tires installation but it is not like a truck tire roar and wear looks ok. Hopefully I will be happy with the Michs.

Knowing what the 370 acts like on all seasons in snow, I would much rather get a second set of wheels and have a set of Blizzaks for any cold/snowy weather. That said, the new A/S 3+ tires are awesome. They don't have the outright grip the Pilot Super Sports have, but they will do extremely well.

Blizzard was my second option but Albuquerque almost never has very much snow these days where we live so I decided on the A/S 3 +. Everybody will probably now thank me for a record snowfall this winter.

Thanks for the response.

I got the pilot sport as3 on my z, the road noise from the tires are minimal compared to the hankook ventus evo2's and the oem Advans, superb grip tho.

All season tires don't belong on a Z. Get a winter beater or winter tire setup for the Z if you drive it in the snow or extreme cold.

I certainly understand the comment and would love to go with a set of Pilot Super Sports but can't handle the storage and other problems right now. So I hope I am doing the next best thing.

That's dissapointing because I bought mine with mich as3 on it and think the tire noise is lower than any car I've been in (friends think so too). Was really hoping this would be considered a loud tire so I could look forward to quietness once I switch to super sports.

Got my as3+ installed this morning and so far all good. Much smoother than advan sport over bumps, tar strips, etc, and more of a cushion ride overall while not giving up grip or cornering. Road noise is down perhaps by 30 to 40% and definitely quieter but hard to really rate because of the lousy pavement types around here.

Very glad I changed. Thanks for all the comments.

Default Michelin A/S Pilot Sport + plus review

I recently replaced my Bridgestone Potenza's with Michelin A/S Pilot Sport Plus. They are a major improvement, better grip, softer on bumps, much quieter. I went with an exadurated stagger, 225/40 ZR19 in front and 285/35 ZR19 in the rear. The narrower front tires make the steering noticeably tighter and more responsive, with less pulling into the road ruts. The rears with my 15mm spacers fit the wheel wells perfectly. They do not rub, even with "spirited driving". I can just see the tires sticking out in my rear view mirrors, very cool. These hook up with far less wheel spin than the summer only Potenza's they replace. I am still getting used to the less power sliding and more forward thrust on my favorite back roads.

I am moving to northern Ohio soon where the roads are bad and so is the weather so I went All Season. I am very happy with these tires so far after a few hundred miles.

I think you'd be surprised by the A/S3+ in the snow... trust me, I have an Elantra with snow tires so the Z is the last car I want out in the snow, BUT that being said I have accidentally gotten caught out in a few inches of snow with 285/40r18 square Michelin Pilot Sport A/S3+ and it did fairly well.

so I replaced the factory tires with the A/S 3+ and just rebought them for the rears. I think I drove them a bit long as they were near slicks, but they went 27k miles

keeping in mind they are all season, I've been very happy with them
