i wonder if the certications are real or not...
says on the craigslist site: Certification: JWL/VIA JWL Certification - Japan Light Alloy Wheel (JWL) standard is a certification level instituted by the Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport which requires that alloy wheels being purchased in Japan, must have the JWL mark on them thus showing the alloy wheels to have passed through a rigorous self-certification process. VIA Certification - Vehicle Inspection Association (VIA) is a third-party group in Japan which can test and verify whether or not any alloy wheels can meet up to the JWL certification tests. can this be true of cast wheels? |

See, I think purses/bags are nothing but status symbols, and that people buy them for that vs the looks (some of them look absolutely rediculous to me). It's like buying houses - some spend tons of cash just to say they live in an area, when they could spend 1/2 in another area, and many times get a better house.

I would bet the certs are real - who wants to put a product on the market that would/could fail, cause accidents/deaths, and deal with those lawsuits? Having experience in product development in the tire industry (designed/develped/tested tires) - testing is very important (even the cheap companies do it) and it is required. Now if it isn't real, then this company, and its sellars will probably be out of business real quick.

Some of those are nice, but I still think bronze is my choice for the pearl white. I also think a polished lip or any lip always gives the impression of a smaller wheel, which I don't want. I have been looking at the Forgestars powdercoated bronze or these rep's (I know the history of Forgestar's color and customer issues, so with powdercoating them I avoid one of their issues).

I've been following it from the beginning. I have had my car since Jan and have been on this site since then, I just don't post as much. Unfortunately, I visit it too much each day
My take on it, is they got too big for their britches - if you search the internet, you see them on all kinds of cars, and my guess is they couldn't keep up with the demand - and many (including caravan, suffered from it). But, those wheels are damn sexy, and cheap. Reminds me of my old e46.
