Yokohama advan sport up front,s drive back?

Even if they do have similar tread patterns and if you keep the sizing similar, you can't really tell how similar the compounds are. I see you live in Canada?

I see you live in Canada? If the temp gets low on a cool day, one compound may play nice in 40 degree weather while the other might lose considerably more grip. If the rears lose a lot more grip with cold temps, I would say things could turn ugly quick!

I would say that if you want to be thrifty, you could try putting the stock 245's on the front and putting the new tires on the rear.. carefully test it out.. but if it's twitchy in any of the conditions you drive in, don't hesitate to order a set for the fronts.

Believe me, I have thought about running different compounds on my car.. Mostly to balance the grip more towards the front and reduce understeer and I decided that it wasn't going to be worth it for me to try it out.

These are both summer only tires,so I would assume they have similar compounds,if one was an all season I would be more concerned, but point taken, worse case scenario would be to purchase another set.
