That is true, but the total spread on the scores is 7.47 to 7.84. It seems their scale is too compressed. If you look back at their summer tire comparisons over the past 3 years, the Michelin has beaten every tire, every year. I certainly can see your point regarding cost though... maybe not worth the extra money.
One other point, the Michelin has a tread wear rating of 300 vs. 280 on the Bridgestone. Not a big difference, but the Michelin should last a bit longer. Anyways, both good tires.
