Has anyone tried the BFGoodrich g-Force Sport COMP-2 tires? How is the road noise and traction?

I had them on the Z until recently and I really like the tire. Road noise isn't bad and the traction is good. I swapped them for RE-11s for the track but I liked them enough that I just got a set for my DD Audi TT and my wife's car will get a set soon.

had them on my 94 RX7 and got really good results. Even did a couple of track events on them. Held up really well to the abuse of the events, but as you know it's a lighter vehicle.

There are several in-depth reviews of this tire on this site. I wrote one myself. Long-term results after 27k miles... Kinda crappy. Once I switched to continental xtreme contact I was much happier. You don't realize the amount of road noise until you get a better tire. The Comp2 traction was rather low. Always broke the tires loose. Overall I rate that tire as Fair

Figured I could give some good input for anyone looking at these in the future:

These tires were on the car when I bought it in December 2014. They had a good amount of tread left at the time.

However, 12k miles later I do not recommend this tire. I'm not an overly aggressive driver by any means and am already past the wear strips, nearly bald in the rear.

In warm-hot weather (75+ degrees) they grip well, but take a good amount of time to warm up at any temperature below. They sidewalls are also relatively stiff, so I wouldn't recommend for autoX unless you're okay with airing them down a lot.

Fun if you don't want a maximum grip summer and don't mind some opposite lock, but on a pure-grip application these tires inspire no confidence. Not bad for other cars with taller aspect ratios, but at sizes 40/35 there are better options.

I have them right now. I've had them for about 10k miles mostly autocor and DD in the nice weather. They suck for autox, but for nice winding roads they are great. I had to air them down for autox to about 30 psi to get decent traction. But they didn't last very long they are toast now. I'm thinking either the re-11 or Nitto NT05.

Oh and the road noise is pretty bad but not as bad as when I put in the spl solid diff bushing.

This was to be my choice for new tires on the Z cause I had a good experience with them on the 5.0 Mustang. But at the time I was told from Tire Rack and my locale tire guy that the rears are back order about 2-months out. So I went with the SO4 Pole Position.
Nice tire but I wish I had bumped them up to the next size.

BFGoodrich, really??? After all the positive notes here about the Michelin PSS and Bridgestone S-04, you would still consider the BFG?
