Default Stock Advans on a Nismo

Hey guys! So I recently replaced the tires on my '12 Nismo to... the stock Advans! Although I did my research and found lots of great things about other brands, my stock tires got me to 23,300 miles without issue. In fact, I was holding off on a new set, but I finally replaced them because I got a nail stuck in my passenger front tire. Plus Nissan was running their buy 3 get the fourth for $1 special.

Anyhow, all I have to say is that I forgot how fun this car was to drive when you can really push it. These tires have so much grip that I guess I didn't appreciate before. Anybody else go with stocks?

The tires that come on the car don't suck...but they are what they are a budget tire for the masses. As much as you're having fun with the stocks a set of higher quality would make your smile wider.

That said the stock are fine, just not "the best". The savings though is quite noticeable. You could put that towards a cai or gtr push to start or something.

I went on a tangent, to answer your question I went with a better tire when I replaced. Prior to changing the stocks though I had a ball...they were close to bald and I love to drift.

advan sport is about equivalent to bridgestone S03's from early-mid 2000's. it's dated performance when pushed.

i went with RE11's this time around on my nismo wheels. HUGE improvement over the advans. but then i dont care about wear.
