Learned the dark arts of detailing cars this weekend. Turned out to be alot more work than I thought. Orbital buffers hate me and I hate them. But I did get my car looking so many goods. Took all day but damn..... I learned everything short of claying. There are so many things a good detailer does. Its mind blowing. But one quick easy tip I will leave for you. Boil your micro-fiber towls after washing them. It opens up the little pores in them again. But chances are you need to buy nice new microfiber towels. Not the autozone ones.... I can see this becoming my next money pit real quick.... So many waxes, polishes, towels, compounds, and pads I need in my life now.

Clay bar is simple. Give it a try.

Reaction to Jenz visor....

My exact words if that were to happen to me.

Got back from Feal today, the coils feal amazing! The drive from Ontario back was a great way to figure out how much the car changed. I will be writing a review and posting it here on the370Z as soon as I get a more testing done. I need to go kill corners....

Lol. Ryan's taking it to work tomorrow. Turns out there is an update to fix this and it was only a matter of time.

hmmm...if that's gonna be a "recall" item/fix i wonder if that's where my headliner rattle is originating? i flip[ my visor every day with the heat shield window guard...

JENZ 05-24-2014 10:56 AM

I dunno. Ryan said the replacement piece came in yesterday so he is swapping them out for me today.

Just finished writing a review on the Feal 441 coil-overs I recently picked up. You can check it out at http://www.the370z.com/brakes-suspen...ml#post2834910.

I just got finished installing the AAM exhaust I got from Hotrodz! It sounds great! I need to raise my ride height though. I am so many lows..... I am scared of everything that casts a shadow on the pavement. I street shark every were. I can't wait for the morning to take more pictures and post them up! Everytime I want to take pictures its to dark.....I am now in full street shark, knar car mode.

Hotrodz 05-27-2014 07:15 AM

I'm glad you like the setup and I really enjoyed it myself!!!

Hotrodz 05-27-2014 07:24 AM

I replaced my battery yesterday...it was 4 yrs old which is pretty good for being in the desert all that time. I was also looking at the service manual and other documentation and notice that the car was originally purchased at United Nissan where Ryan works back in July 2010. I bought it in June 2012 with 11K miles at Car Max. Kind of curious why the person sold it other than they didn't drive it much!

PedroVonSmith 05-27-2014 11:02 AM

NNNNOOOOO, one of my tips fell off the dual exhaust!!!! WHY!?! I am sending an email to AAM in hopes of getting a new one very soon. I tightened the clamps down like a mother to. Murphy's law strikes again!

LOL, I just saw the recognized the street name the "stealership" name in this case.

CC QUIK 05-28-2014 12:06 AM

hey Pedro, I have a set of motordyne stainless steel exhaust tips (straight cut=slash cut ) I can sell you if they don't replace the one you lost. 4.5" outer diameter, 3.0" tube inlet.

PedroVonSmith 05-28-2014 03:26 PM

Thanks CC Quick, I found the one that fell off on the 215..... It was pretty scuffed up. I tried to fix it but was unable to take the scratches out. So I took them to Snail motorsports to be powdercoated. I should get them back this week. Then I am having them welded on for safe measure.

Infamous 05-28-2014 04:16 PM

I hate snail. MF douche bag. Car just went into limp mode on bd and Buffalo for like 5 minutes. Temp was about 216°, so I'm not sure why it did this.

Where was the oil meter below you left cluster?

Infamous 05-28-2014 04:37 PM

216° I'm thinking possibly the battery. The car did the exact same as this member's car http://www.the370z.com/engine-drivetrain/86250-help-car-cant-turn.html

JENZ 05-28-2014 05:10 PM

Limp mode from a battery? Weird.... I would think it would be a voltage issue with the alternator rather than the battery while you're driving at least. Maybe it's a fuel delivery issue? Did you BP car come with all the bells and whistles for you to monitor your AFRs and boost? Oil pressure? Etc?

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

JENZ 05-28-2014 05:17 PM

Mentioned this to Ryan and he said he's seen both ways either battery or alternator. He had same question regarding your AFRs etc.

I have an afr meter and boost controller. Car drove fine once I started her back up. So the car stuttered, rpms dropped and then lights flickered and the car died. I tried to restart right away, but it sounded like it didn't have enough juice. It was struggling to turn over. I pushed it to the shoulder and got back in and she fired right up, like nothing ever happened.

Hotrodz 05-28-2014 05:26 PM

I just replaced my battery on Monday but it just would not turn over, however my afr gauge has been doing weird things for a while and would just lock up give error code. I was thinking to myself that I should pay more attention to it than the voltage gauge.

CC QUIK 05-28-2014 05:30 PM

glad you found it Pedro. paladin sent my wheels to snail to get powder coated a couple of years back and came back top notch. I think a few guys have come and gone since then.

Hotrodz 05-28-2014 05:42 PM

I would still get your battery checked. Mine has done that, never left me stranded. If your battery is more than two years old given the extreme heat of the desert, consider yourself lucky. Also, when you buy one, one with three year replacement warranty

Just got the battery checked. 100% charged.

Process of elimination. Alternator should be checked next. Let us know if you need any help.

I'll run this by Ryan for some ideas. Maybe if you reach out to BP for some ideas on where else to look incase it's and issue with the build.

I would need a hand to check the alternator. I'm free tonight, if you guys are.

JENZ 05-28-2014 07:16 PM

Tonight is meet night but tomorrow we will be free. Ryan most of the day and both of us after 5pm.

Can you have him text me tomorrow when he can swing by or I can bring the car over to your place? Maybe he could do my ssk install too.

JENZ 05-28-2014 07:55 PM

His phone isn't charging so we will have too coordinate this. Let me get back to you in a message with the plans.

After looking around, I decided to go with Snail... I was going to go with 6651 but they carry a very limited amount of colors. That and Snail was cheaper and more known. After I took the tips there I found the color I wanted, but the one color I wanted I couldn't have... After I dropped the tips off I started to get alot of negative info about them. But the estimated time of completion is friday. So I am happy. I will let you know how it turns out. Also went for a cruise on the strip today. My Dad is in town so I decided to show him around. I didn't realize how many necks you break in these cars.... I would guess its the exhaust sounding all knarly. I have never received this much attention in this car. Its almost on the level of my 240....

Hotrodz 05-29-2014 08:24 AM

I told you the exhaust would not disappoint!!!!Enjoy the weekend with your dad....
