I had my Fortune 500 coil overs installed at Paladin yesterday. I just want let you all know that my experience was very good. They are very knowledgeable about Nissan vehicles. The mechanic who worked on my car spent four years in Japan working on Nissans. The were also working on a TT G35 that really needed some help. I would not have any reservations going to them for service.

Infamous 01-26-2014 11:21 PM

Glad to hear they took care of you. Anyone know a machine shop that can resurface my rotors, they're warped. I was researching and came to the conclusion that a machine shop is the way to go for my slotted wilwoods. Any opinions on the matter?

Hey guys,

Sad I couldn't make the meets you guys put together over Christmas. I was just too busy (I work on a games website - preparing for the break is a nightmare).

Anyhow, just nipped on to show off these - I've got a set of 2010 Nismo shocks and springs for sale. Only done around 8k miles, never tracked or anything like that, and no valet! lol. $600 obo.

I've also got a set of stock (base-sport) springs I don't want anymore. No idea what they're worth used. $100?

Anyway, I thought I'd throw them in here first, give my fellow locals first dibs. If no one's interested I'll throw them in the proper classifieds.

What are we seeing?

JENZ 02-01-2014 06:36 PM

I dunno...... your car!!!!!!!!

SS_Firehawk 02-01-2014 07:21 PM

If we are meeting up, let me know, I'll be heading to the NW side of town in a couple hours. My car needs a serious bath.

Infamous 02-01-2014 10:39 PM

Ha sorry jen. We did a quick drive on bd to i15 and back. It was a spur of the moment thing.

SS_Firehawk 02-01-2014 11:08 PM

Yeah, definitely. We had a bit of fun. I had to go to my sister's, so it was a quick 30 min. Both cars ran strong, it was good fun.

JENZ 02-01-2014 11:21 PM

It's cool. Not like I'd be able to keep up!!!!

Coilovers and camber parts are getting installed next weekend!!!!

Hotrodz 02-01-2014 11:22 PM

I would love to get together with you guys sometime here in the near future. Three boosted cars with three different sits ups!!!

Infamous 02-01-2014 11:24 PM

Where abouts do you live hotrodz? FI TT, correct?

JENZ 02-01-2014 11:25 PM

I'd love to see the FI TT kit!

Although I am really starting to dig the BP kit too! The one thing I see as a hiccup there is the placement of the intake filter. It's great to have it right on the turbine, however it seems like one good puddle would do you in. That worries me because as we all know, sometimes our Vegas roads get some deep puddles that are deceptive in appearance. At least from what I've seen on Durango or on Buffalo between Warm Springs and Blue Diamond.

SS_Firehawk 02-01-2014 11:33 PM

For sure! That BP kit looks so clean. I could clearly hear the car spool up and just slingshot forward. I definitely noticed his midrange was stronger. I had to be in the right gear to keep my car over 5k to keep up. Once I was there, we were running door to door. I might have been pulling a bit at the top end, regardless, it was a blast. I really wanna see your car Hotrodz. I hate to hear the bickering between which kits are best, I'm a big fan of all of them. Each one delivers 100% of what they advertise.

FYI Infamous, what was that Stang doing? He was engulfed in exhaust fumes and tire.

I live in Kingman, AZ. I'm about 1.5 hour from Vegas. Me and my wife come there fairly often for shopping, food and entertainment. She bought me some lap time a the Richard Petty Experience for my birthday back in June, so I think we are going to head to Vegas the weekend of the 22nd for that. Yes, I have the FI TT kit.

I hear ya on the deep puddles, but they should not be a problem unless you are speeding through them or the water is more than two feet high, then you shouldn't be driving across anything like that anyway. I think you might change your mine anyway after you see the numbers with e85. If they are anything like the numbers on race fuel, well that will be ridiculous for a stage 1 setup.

Infamous 02-02-2014 12:04 AM

That stang was feeling left out and left behind! I'm still scared to push the car past 6500 rpm and wot until I get a proper tune. I like how he took off at the rainbow light on us. That's awesome hotrodz, I wanted the FI kit before my accident and replacement BP z.

Hotrodz 02-02-2014 12:23 AM

Yeah, I don't think you can go wrong with either turbo kit. The FI kit make power so fast, I'm above red line before I know it, especially in 3rd gear. The boost just does not let off!

I would really recommend going to SpecialtyZ for your tune. Seb will make sure you get the most out of your tune and it will be safe as well. He is not one to tune on the ragged edge! Beside the ride home, you can really see how she performs!

Just got off the phone with Tony at Fast Intentions. Super nice guy! Picking up a hand-me-down from M.Bonanni this week and then getting FI test pipes to delete the stock cats. This is a big month for my Z car!

Infamous 02-03-2014 08:55 PM

Non res? Ss or cf?

Mike's (soon to be mine) is 18" res w/integrated HFC's and CF.

Going with non-res/catless test pipes.

Infamous 02-03-2014 10:22 PM

Nice! I want a fast intentions exhaust again. I miss the sound of the non res cf. You're gonna love it.

Can't wait! Should pick up the CBE this week and then Tony said my test pipes would ship out on Valentine's day. Happy Valentine's to me!

Tony said that if I took a ride in your car I'd be speeding up my long-term plan to go TT. :driving:

As far as the BP kit goes... I am still super weary of the placement.... big puddles or small puddles, I like the peace-of-mind of the intake not being down there. I wonder if there is enough room for an elbow to try and relocate the filter..... Infamous... we need to put your car on a lift. :) Come down to Ryan's work sometime soon so we can poke and prod your new toy! ;)

Shouldn't be too hard to get with the BP kit made to fit. Not sure what the previous owner had to change to add to the CNT exhaust, maybe the flanges and length? Sasha might be able to assist with it.

I know what you mean about peace of mind. I hate worrying about my car and that is why I went with FI's TT.

I will let you know when I come to town and maybe we all can get together. It's a rush to be pushed back in your seat and feel the power as the car pulls and pulls some more.

JENZ 02-03-2014 11:08 PM

Come next weekend, hotrodz! Let's go to cars and coffee. My buddy wants to take his freshly wrapped gtr. It should be a fun post c&c cruise with 3 diff Boosted z's and a 750 hp SP engineering gtr.

Hotrodz 02-04-2014 08:12 PM

I can't make it this weekend, but I think I may be free the weekend of the 15th I might be able to play.

Infamous 02-04-2014 09:53 PM

That's the weekend I'm trying to get him to go. I'll keep you posted.

Hotrodz 02-04-2014 10:09 PM

Sweet, hopefully SS will be in town and can make it too.

SS_Firehawk 02-04-2014 10:10 PM

Boo, I won't be home until the evening of the 16th!
