I think my buddy and I are going to try to get there earlier (if he wakes up) so we can get a parking spot in the "show" portion, at least for his car. I may still park farther away.  For those that haven't been: for regular parking, your best bet is to continue to the Gainey Suites Dr. light and pull in there at the red "X". You won't have to drive through crowds of people or within inches of half-million dollar cars (I've done it, very nerve-racking).
