Typically on a FWD you keep the front tires the same size as the rear for performance reasons, that's all. If you're mainly doing it for looks it's not a problem.

I clipped a curb in November and was rewarded with a two inch scrape on my right front Rays. I had it polished out and it looks good as new; no other damage. Will sell for $400 or best offer.
