Default MT Rear Differential

My plan is to put 4.08 gears with a Quaife differential into my 2010 7AT base touring-currently have open differential.

Need
a rear differential/carrier from a MT. Would prefer base model on the basis of price but would consider a sport model (vlsd). I would also consider trading my rear diff.

Thanks

I'm quite the opposite to you. I want to install the final drive gear (3.357) from an automatic to my vehicle and that's what I'm looking into. Is it possible just by swapping the final drive gear?
What I want to do is lower the rpm's especially at highway speeds. The 6 mt comes with 3.962 although it only lowers the rpm's by 250 while doing 80 mph but is better than running the engine at 2675 rpm's versus 2950 rpm's.

Your car (2014 NISMO) has a 3.69:1 gear, same as the 6MT base/Sport/Touring etc. The 2015 NISMO 6MT has the 3.92.

The standard auto has 3.36:1 and the NISMO automatic has the 3.69.

In any case, good luck with your trade, OP. I think a real LSD with a shorter gear will be a great addition to your car!
