Low compression built motor, 9.5:1 exhaust, test pipes, and K&N typhoons intakes. Numbers will probably be lower due to compression. As I'll be force feeding her soon. It's got some beadwork with the build. Hoping to see around 300whp. We shall see. I'm in school at UTI Dallas right now so whenever they have their next dyno day it'll happen... Just might be a little bit.

I'll take the 2010 370z spot please. Especially since I already have EcuTek and could use some updates!

Visconti 370Z Custom tune |
Emailed and messaged you a long time ago about this if you're still looking for cars.
|
I'm still interested in purchasing licensing, race rom and cable, but response time needs to be more consistent before I make the switch. I'm def not waiting 1-2 months for a tune. However, those features are really enticing.
|
Visconti has released all the features and tunes for each of the four maps. There all dialed in pretty good. Once you get your cable and lisence,it should only be a matter of days to get them from John once you send him your initial rom file. It's where guys send him data logs and have been waiting a bit for a REVISED tune, but every time I send him something,at the most I've waited a day, sometimes within a few hrs I've gotten an adjusted tune back. I can't speak for anyone else, but he's been pretty good with me. He's 4 hrs ahead of me and I've recieved a tune at like 9:00 pm my time.

Here's a email sent to all who have ecutek. Thought I would post this for anyone looking for info on the new features:
Just wanted to let you know that there is a major Tune update available for your car but requires a special version of EcuTek to install and log. 1. Open Tuner Assist and download both the new tune file and Beta Version of ProECU 2. Click on “File Explorer” to locate the beta and double click on it – (This will install the Beta version of ProECU) 3. Open the Beta Version of ProECU and flash in the new tune file located here - C:\Program Files (x86)\Tuner Assist\Downloaded Files After flashing in the new tune file you’ll have some new and improved features. This flash will take 8-10 Minutes!! Make sure your battery is charged! If your car has been sitting go for a drive and get the battery charged up. Flash in a safe location, not on the side of the road. Submit logs using Tuner Assist. RaceRom Map Switching The Map Switching feature allows you to switch between up to four different maps built into a Calibration. You can switch between the maps at the press of a button. Hold down the cancel button for approximately 1 second and you’ll see the tachometer point to the currently selected map. Use the “RES/ACCEL” button to press up and advance the map selection by one. This selection will be indicated by the tachometer pointing to 1,000rpm for Map 1, 2,000rpm for Map 2, 3,000rpm for Map 3, 4,000rpm for Map 4. Pressing the “COAST/SET” button moves the map selection down by 1. Map 1 is least aggressive and is designed for California/Arizona 91 octane or any fuel that is ethanol-free. This map is less aggressive than stock and should show no ignition correction or KNOCK even on poor fuel. It is NOT designed for 87 or 89 octane. Map 2 is more aggressive and should work well on cars running 91 octane Map 3 is more aggressive and should work well on 93 octane Map 4 is most aggressive and should work well on 93 octane but should be logged before extensive spirited driving is done. RaceROM Valet Mode Valet Mode allows the driver to lock the car into a lower performance mode when lending it to a less experienced driver. It can also be used as a supplementary anti-theft system. We do not recommend that car owners rely on it as their only anti-theft solution. Method of Operation To turn on the Valet mode • Engine Off, Ignition On, Cruise Control OFF • Hold CANCEL for 1 second, car goes into map switching mode and will display what map your currently on • Use cruise up button until the rev counter reaches redline • Wait 3 seconds or Press CANCEL to immediately engage valet mode. To turn off the Valet mode • Hold CANCEL for 1 second, car goes into map switching mode and will display what map your currently on • Use cruise up button until the rev counter reaches redline • Wait 3 seconds or Press CANCEL to immediately disable valet mode. RaceROM Launch Control (RRLC) EcuTek has developed RRLC so the Launch RPM can be adjusted LIVE during the Launch Mode. This allows the driver to select the optimum launch RPM (and therefore engine power output) for the current conditions. RRLC allows the driver to adjust the launch RPM by pressing the cruise control “res/accel” and “coast/set” buttons while the launch control system is active. Method of Operation To activate certain conditions must be met 1. Motor must be warmed up or Launch Control will not activate ! 2. Transmission in Gear + Fully Depressing the accelerator pedal + Fully depressing clutch pedal Press the “res/accel” button to raise the launch RPM. Press the “coast/set” button to lower the launch RPM. The default Launch Control RPM (set in the ECM ROM) will be used after ECU Programming, ECU Reset or disconnecting the battery. Thanks John |
So these map 1-4s, do they increase or decrease aggressiveness of the current map already loaded into the car? Specific to any bolt ons?

Hope that answers your question. Are you running ecutek? |

As for aggressiveness, compared to stock,it's night and day. Compared to my last tune before this revision,I'd say bottom end to mid range seems more aggressive, but top end seems to taper off. It's hard to say with just my butt dyno. I will be on a dyno in the next couple of weeks. I'll do a pull with no tune,a pull with this tune on #2 map and a pull with johns revised tune that he sends me on my #2 map. I'll post them when I'm done. |

Anything to report, Merv?

Well, like a dumb ***,I forgot my laptop so I couldn't flash my car back to the factory tune, but I decided to go ahead and get a couple pulls. Let me just say when the guy told me it was a heartbreaker,he wasn't kidding. I averaged 282 to the wheels:shakes head:
I honestly don't know what to think. I figured I'd break 300 to the wheels and told myself to be happy with that. I've heard our cars breaking into the 3's with just bolt ons and no tune. The sh:tiest part is I have no stock # to compare the tune against. I've been told because of the crappy gas I have to put into my car that it plays a big factor. I'm also wondering about the dyno I was dyno'd on. I believe it's a dyno dynotronics and it seemed like a really old machine so I don't know how accurate it really is. But who knows, maybe the guy has it dialed in perfect. He did say that the fuel looked like it could be leaned out a bit,and the graph shows the power tapering off in between 6500 and 7000 rpm. Anyways,I plan on doing a dyno again somewhere else, just to see if it's the dyno I was on. |
And once I get the sheets emailed,I'll post them up.
|
Yea 282 sounds a bit low, but on my local heart breaker I made 286 with a ETUNE , same mods as you EX the Z1 manifold but I can see my AF's are all over the place so I now my tune needs to be touched up. The only part that didnt sound right was the power tappering off up top, We should be pulling all the way to redline 7500 or so. Maybe the car is pulling timing up top ? what gas are you running. If its truely bad you may want to grab some Turbo 108, North American NA31 Turbo 108 Octane Boost - 32 Fl. Oz.
I've been running this stuff for years, ( over 20) it works. |
Visconti,
Do you know of any ecutek tuners around the VA area? I am currently deployed, but when I get back im finishing up bolt ons and decided to go with ecutek! |
