Default Running Rich-rough idle with supercharger

Just wanting to pick you tuning gurus' minds for a moment. Last week the car ( 2012, 6mt, stage 2 gtm supercharger ) started running a little off, and getting progressively worse until the point where it can barely stay running at idle. I don't have a afr gauge, but I am just charging my laptop to go plug uprev into it to check. I know its rich because its giving little puffs of black at the exhaust and spraying tiny specks of soot... All last year I never had a single issue with it. I'm thinking a sticky bypass valve might be the culprit, but would a constantly venting valve cause it to run like that?

Update. I was able to actually have a peak while it was running (barely) and it looked like the bpv was closed. I'm very confused.

Another update.... Just checked the afr at idle and it is at 10.000 : 1...... So that's not particularly good

Custom GTM tune I am pretty sure...... When the kit was installed, did the data-logging on the dyno at the shop, they sent that off to gtm who sent back an amended tune... Rinse was repeat a few times and there I went.... It gave me no issues at all last summer.

Ok, so still GTM canned tune mostly.
I had a rough idle problem with their tune even after doing the data logging and tune revisions (went through 20ish). Went to a local tuner who does VQ and it was the fuel/MAF settings that needed to be adjusted. GTM never adjusted this with the can tune, which is not a negative but on some cars it needs to be changed to allow for a smoother idle.

Damn. I don't have a local tuner really. Closest is six hours away. And you are right, it probably is still a canned tune... It is just weird that it all of a sudden went for **** in the past week as well as it seems like a boost issue, can hear it venting unless I really honk on it.

Yeah, mine was fine for about 8-12 months and then when Texas summer came back around my idle was terrible. Cold start ups were ok for a bit but once in low operating temps the idle would just drop out and almost stall (400-500rpm).

Sounds kind of like mine, except nothing has changed for me, not even temp... Was yours spitting soot out the back also?

Probably but never noticed, my exhaust tips turned black though but nothing ever on my bumper or on the ground I saw.

You might try to make the drive to your tuner that is closes, or you could do another remote tune by another company.
I will throw this out, but you will need to contact shops/tuners to get details but some tuners can do remote tuning. Basically get your car on a dyno, tuner remotes in to a laptop and makes adjustments since they can see the dyno results/details in real time. Will just have to coordinate getting some time on a dyno and a tuner who can do remote tuning.

Thanks. That sounds like a reasonable idea. I'm a couple miles away from a dyno... and I think UpRev themselves might even do this. I will have to look into it.
