You can't just bring this car in to be tuned without an ECU replacement or piggy back system. There are a lot of threads about tuning options for the 370.

so does this cobb access port recplace the stock ecu? so i get these mods, get that cobb access port, and then can bring it to a shop and they will be able to tune the engine through this cobb access port? thanks.

not to sure on how the port actually works......let someone else chime in with more experience on it.....
it just reprograms the ecu for better performance.......firmware can be bought online through them.
the device is only for one car....can not use it on multiple cars...

1. You touch the ECU and your warranty is gone. I'd make sure your dad is ready for ANY repair costs because he'll be paying them all out of pocket.

2. that said the Cobb is a little handheld the size of a PDA that costs $600 and gives you maybe 10 horsepower maybe. You plug it in to a data port in the car push some buttons and unplug it. It also works as a scan tool to tell you how the car is running. It's a one tune thing that you can't change unless you email data from the scanner to a tuner and pay him to change it or take it to an Access Port approved shop and they tune it on the dyno.

3. More stuff will come out eventually in the next year. Get on Google and look up Greddy Piggybacks, Haltech Platinum Series, HKS FconV, UpRev Osiris.

Why do you keep starting these threads? You have started numourous threads on the same topics, and the answer lies in other threads,(some even below the thread you started) do some searching around first. Read a little it won't kill you. I understand that you are a young person, I can tell by your posts, but you still have the ability to search and read. I am simply being candid with you, not trying to come down on you.

I'm guessing you're around 15 and I'll tell you that was me five years ago as a D student in the Tech ed slide program I had supercharged my first car (Chev Beretta) in machine shop, and had started tuning it myself with a laptop. Self taught off the internet, got a job pumping gas to buy parts, and hadn't even changed a cars oil before the start of that year. Not trying to flame you but cars take money and knowledge, and if you have a lot of one of those you won't need much of the other.

Also it took me 2 years, over 5,000 dollars, and I added almost a hundred horsepower which on a GM 3.1 L = still slow.

I'm surprised your dad isn't the one that's on the forums researching this kind of stuff. Just curious, did he tell you wanted all that stuff and to go on the forums and find out all about it, or is this one of those bored, day dreaming kind of thing?
