Should I have this done with my car at 180 in normal driving?

maybe just get a map that has the fan control for the track? but otherwise I wouldn't get it.

I expect that this mod is good for track users and anyone concerned about stop and go rush hour traffic and overheating...

So happy!!!!!!

I'm looking forward to testing this out this summer! Not even warm here yet really. :shakes head:

Had mine done today while on the dyno tuning my car for a water/Meth map ,on the ride home (about 80 mile trip) my car oil temps never got passed 200 deg. and the coolant was 2 dots to the left of middle plus it was 91 deg today.
|
lol, I am finding myself looking at my temp gauges a lot lately.... they hardly climb at all and I am worried about the engine being too cool now!
|
Just had this done on my 2010 Z (stock radiator, no oil cooler) and I love it. Temps outside now are about 90 degrees and driving down to Z1 resulted in oil temps around 220 on the highway and 230-235 quickly in stop and go.
Stop and go now is consistently 205-210, highway is 205-215 (lower fan speeds used when going faster) and the car cools down extremely fast at idle from those temps. Props to UpRev and Z1 for making this possible! |
Works good Chris,I had mine done on Saturday
|
Sweet, I just got back from Z1 about 30 min ago. John was nice enough to knock it out quickly so I could get back to work. Woot! :tiphat:
|
Had a 90-degree day in NY today, tons of humidity...not a tick above 200F with this. Before, even with the 19R oil cooler, temps were in the 215-220 range. Without oil cooler, 240F.
