I have to get this done. My car is p*ssing me off, if I hit some light traffic or do some stop-and-go city driving, the oil temps jump from 180 to 220 - it's so annoying. I have an oil cooler and it's doing it's job, since the oil temps will never cross 220, but at 55-degree weather, it really shouldn't get that hot, especially that fast.

I went to have this done and My ECU is one of the ones that can't have it done so my tuner has my ECU # and will call UpRev Monday and see what they can do for the rest of us.

I don't believe this option in UPREV covers cooling the oil. I think it is for the radiator fans to give your coolant some extra cool.

But I could be wrong ...

I was going off of the below:

I know that there are three stages of fan speed, low, med, and high. the low setting would come on at 212f if I remember correctly. seb changed the low setting to come on at 185f and the med to start at 200 and the high to come on at 212. I may not be correct on the temps but I know that it works amazing, oil temp stay much more consistent in stop and go traffic and low speed cruising.

Regardless, I'm going to go out for a drive and test it now. I just had it done.

I did 45 mins of stop/go heading down 805 during super rush hour. I'd normally see 220+ even with 19 row oil cooler since there's no airflow.. but I was surprised it stayed 195-200. This fan control is a must!

I have a 6.5in spal fan in front of my cooler and a CSF radiator so I'm not that bothered that I can't do this.

Right on! I know you're FI'ed and everything but how are your temps with the fan and CSF radiator?? I may do those mods as well once I FI down the road.
