Default Tuning for a quieter startup

At the moment my exhaust is stock but I have ART pipes waiting in the garage and a full CBE on it’s way and I expect my start ups to annoy some of my neighbors.

During startup the car the car idles at ~2k and then slowly drops within a minute or two which i assume is to pre heat the cats for better emissions and at least get some extra heat in the oil and water before driving away.

I would like to know if it is advisable or even doable to tune the idle with uprev and have it linger at 1k before going down to normal idle?

I would still give the car extra time before i drive away in order to get the blood flowing and get at least a little heat in there

That high idle is to help move fuel into the engine, it'll have trouble idling cold at lower rpms.

Have your neighbors said anything? Maybe they're sitting in their rooms wishing their car sounded like yours...

CRiZO - could you elaborate on what you mean please. From my understanding of the fuel system, the fuel is primed in the lines prior to startup. Also, are you referring to cold temperatures like in snow states? Im in florida so cold temperatures don’t exist.

Dts3 - haven’t installed it yet. In fact, it almost was delivered this afternoon but I wasn’t home to sign for it. But it’s the Greddy EVO GT, so you tell me if my neighbors will love/hate/envy me. I will have ART pipes so i should be a tad bit louder than yours.

Can't say whether they'll love or hate it, but they'll certainly know when you get home/leave. It rattles my bathroom mirror.
