Remove P0037 & P0057 w/ Ecutek DTC

Hi All, What a bad day lol. Car seems to be throwing codes all day. Is it safe to assume permanently turning off P0037 & P0057 from Ecutek DTC module

Unhappy Remove P0037 & P0057 w/ Ecutek DTC

Hi All,

What a bad day lol. Car seems to be throwing codes all day.

Is it safe to assume permanently turning off P0037 & P0057 from Ecutek DTC module is safe for drivability?

I need to get my car inspected soon so I can't have any CEL.

Thank You.

Unfortunately turning off these codes will render the O2 monitor "N/A" - this will cause you to fail inspection. You need to fix whatever the problem is. Have you reviewed the logs?

Yeah the codes are popping up because I have test pipes

Damn that sucks because i thought in the state of NY they only check if your CEL is on

You may want to find out if this is the case, because that maybe true. I have two codes permanently disabled through ECUTek, makes me want to hook my scanner up now and see if it says its in a ready state for emissions or not. Luckily I don't have to worry about it. The other poster is from California too, so keep that in mind...

Did a bit of research and found out that in 2014 NYS implemented a new system in which they check to see if some parameters are turned off. Which most likely means turning off o2 sensor codes will read miscommunication to their system. Well this is just great news!

Wonder if theres an emission tune that can help me pass inspection

There has to be a difference in the reading between the primary and secondary o2 sensors. You need to pick yourself up some J bungs. I ordered the vibrant J bungs, they worked great. Never had a code before or after tuning.
