Hey guys I am looking at doing some NA tuning to my 15' 370Z towards the end of this year. I have been given a quote and summary of the upgrade from one of the tuners here in Australia as follows:

Stillen or Injen long ram intakes

Stillen headers

Invidia high flow catted front pipes

Invidia cat back exhaust system

Oil cooler kit

Alloy radiator upgrade

UpRev ECU tuning licence

Labour and dyno tuning

I was quoted ~$8800 AUD (~$6600 USD) and told this will make around 230rwkw

I am nub when it comes to cars and tuning so just wondering if you guys rekon this is worth it for an NA upgrade?

That's forced induction money. Source/import the parts yourself and have it remotely tuned by one of the US tuners such as Soho or Specialty Z. Even with shipping and import taxes (not sure what it is for Australia) you should still end up saving quite a bit compared to what they're trying to charge you.

Yea man price should be closer to 5500 USD, I'd look for all the parts myself, stated above, Heck buy some stuff used off here . One thing make sure is who and when you install the parts THEY better not be charging you to install the HFC's it TP's, those come off to install the headers and the the cat back exhaust has some cross over labor with the HFC's or TP's as well so that should be discounted also.

Tune with ECUTEK, you thank us later

Ok thanks for reply guys. But I think Australia is generally more expensive anyways for parts and tuning high performancr cars.

Anyways, what do you think about the power output, is ~230rwkw what I should expect from this sort of NA upgrade?

And about the forced induction upgrades, I have been quoted around $15000-$22000 AUD for Supercharger or TT including labor and supporting mods from a number of tuners around Australia.

Hit up the Aus. section, there might be some locals who can help you find a good shop in your area. Australia/New Zealand - Nissan 370Z Forum
Maybe toss BGTV8 a message, he is in Aus and a really knowledgeable guy.
