John, I want to see his numbers on my dyno sheet next week! :yum:

Might have to copy/paste though lol

Nice thread and nice gains, glad people are starting to show the differences Uprev vs EcuTek

I can't wait to do it! Plan is it do GTR injectors as they can be had for cheap and a DW65c should be 100% drop in without modding the stock surge tank. At 265lph it's better than the bigger cheaper walbro. I think it's worth it though at $169 vs $80 to not mess that up. I just wanna here 100% if a pump is needed.

Does uprev have a fuel pump duty cycle??

Below are my results from the EcuTek RaceROM tune. It was a gain of 13HP and 10 ft/.lbs of torque over my UpRev tune.

Drive-ability is greatly improved and worth every penny. :driving:

Crazy thing about this dyno is that he is making power all the way to redline

Bored TBs, Z1 upper and extrude-honed lower...gives power back up top

I don't have any of that and my power doesn't drop off up top. I think tuning VVEL takes care of that too

elperuano 06-10-2015 07:42 AM

^a turbo helps that problem out

Very nice numbers. So is 350whp now doable with Ecutek? The average that I've seen around the forums is about 330+ with bolt-ons, some port work, and UpRev.

I made power all the way to 8k, didn't push the car past that rpm to find where it drops. That was with gen3, z1 test pipes, tomie y, tomie y back, uprev. Made 319

Well looks like ecu tek is in my future plans

Alstann 06-10-2015 11:38 AM

Where is EcuTEK with the VVEL tuning, by the way? Is that a definitive figured out thing now? Or just an unlocked table that hasn't really been tampered with yet?

ANMVQ 06-10-2015 11:56 AM

ECutek has total control of it,

Having close to 20 grand to blow would help also

Yes its very doable. From what i understand theres more control and adjustments with Ecutek. I believe cylinder head work and exhaust cams will bring out more power.
