thanks guys

where is said race taking place? if it's not on a prepped drag strip that changes everything since a strip is set up for traction launches.

well you're gonna be in first. no reason to jump to 2nd and risk getting stuck in low revs.

i'd say first with some good throttle control.

what tires do you have and how new are they.

my RE-11's when new allowed me to dive right into full throttle and was pure traction. it was sexy.

i got the same set-up. 265/305 RE-11's on sport rays. they are amazing.

got about 10k miles on mine and seems to be holding upbetter than my PSS's

I am looking forward to it. I picked em up for $1K with only a few track days on them

I'm particularly interested in the tip to pull brake fuse. Have people done both while at the track and seen better results?

JARblue 10-03-2014 02:22 PM

If you can't put traction down on a high rpm launch, pulling the brake fuse isn't going to do you any good.

i dont see a reason. i have never pulled mine and i still can sit there and smoke my tires in the burnout pits at the redline all day.

although i rarely do it based on burnouts on street tires is basically pointless.

quick spin here and there to clean debris is about all you need.
