1.6 60 ft times. That would be great.
Every mod for a N/A that i can.
Nice mustang.

Get your suspension dialed in and lose weight that's your two best friends.

He has the proper back spacing for my sports set up.
The tires will be 305/ 35 /18 Mickey Thompson ET Drag Radial 11.
12.6"s here we come.

I think you're being a little conservative...you will likely run quicker than 12.60s. Given similar track-conditions, dropping more than 0.2-seconds with the Volk/ET Drag setup should be no problem.

hard to say it. it doesnt look like he is having traction issues judging by his 60' times, yes he wipp be able to launch a little harder but I dont see him gaining a whole lot going to stickier tires however I could be wrong he could have big traction issues.

What was the DA when you ran at that track?
what was the temps and all

Z eliminator 09-25-2009 12:28 PM

There was traction problems. I had to lanch at 1000 rpm and floor it or else it would spin the tires. It also spun them in 2nd gear.
765 ft. DA.
If you go back in the post i listed all the temps
air aound 62 to 63
water 185
oil 70 C (156)
Track 100
The hoter the moter gets the slower you go. The 2nd pass was a 12.9.
I reset the air preasure to 29 psig every run.
At the end of the day it ran 13.35 to 13.5 with an oil temp of 110 c.
It spun so hard in 2nd that i had to shift into 3 right away.
The first pass was the best.
I would love to launch at 2500 rpm. If it hooked it would be really quick.
I tried one at 2000 and it just spun the tires.

any info on the gears??? btw that is a great time...the fastest cayman is 12.595 @ 112 but he also has GIAC and 100 octane...so you are not far off

And supposedly an EVOMS intake, Milltek headers and exhaust. The majority of Cayman Ss seem to be in the high-12s with intake, exhaust, and ECU modification...although this is coming from dragtimes.com.

Give it time and I'm confident you'll see many full bolt-on 370Zs running mid-12s at around 115 MPH, 6MT or 7AT. There is no reason why a 330+ WHP car weighing ~3450 lbs. with a driver shouldn't be able to.

tru_Asiatik 09-26-2009 09:43 PM

awesome time!!!
now who is first to hit 12s w/ a 6mt? :)

i wish i can do this but i do not have any local 1/4 mile tracks in my area

370zdub 09-27-2009 02:26 AM

That is awesome, the potential of these cars is just beginning to show. I am curious about the gears too.

What?

Reaction time does not affect ET.

noob!! lol jk
but yes RT has nothing to do with 1/4 mile times

example i always give is you can sit at the light all day and still get the same times:tup:

RT only for the guy next to you. And most people you are up against are rarely in the same vehicle class. I know at Qualcom in SD I have been up against R1's and CBR's quite a few times and its no fun to see a bike get literally half of what you are running.

Then stop driving 19-second cars.

:icon18: close enough. Qualcom is a 1/8th mile track so bikes will always win. The cars with really high hp don't get their chance to shine since the race is over in about 6 to 7 seconds for them and 1 -2 seconds is wasted just getting out of the dig. But its all good fun anyway. I saw a lot of hybrids their 2 fridays ago messin around.
