Given that performance it's no wonder you feel the Z didn't have enough power. Most people use the gears the other way round for power reasons, and say, e.g., "I never got out of 3rd or 4th, esp. on such-n-such a tight "track".

BTW, how do you figure you and an S4 "in the same class"? Are you talking about High School
