Well no leaks on the suspension, so I just have to suck it up and wait for rescue next month with new parts

That's good news, so what new parts did you decide to go with?

Just coilovers and sway at this point

Crazy man

Maybe I jumped the gun. I went back down on the tire pressure for the rs3, car grip a lot better. It's amazing how much more pressure I have to run on the re11 vs rs3.

Speaking of car wearing out. The last two track days I have noticed occasional clutch or diff slipperage. On occasion where I have either too much wheelspin or quick shifts, I can see RPM just stay up and the car would take a second or two to reengage. Is that a sign of the clutch or the diff going?

Thanks

Could be wheel spin too. You would have to look at your speedo and tach to see. If the rpms are raising a lot faster then your speedo. Then you know.

It's something not catching, most likely clutch. I wonder if the srm pull more stress on the clutch

Apollo8642 11-04-2013 01:54 PM

Stock clutch still? My stock clutch started slipping at around 15k at anything at 6500 rpms and above. That was with a lot of different drivers, track and autox days. Then I boiled my clutch fluid this summer, but thought the CSC failed, and decided to replace everything.
If your looking for a replacement, this is I went this direction, and I'm really happy with it. I'm still on the fence if I should have gone with the aluminum flywheel or if the light weight steel one that I got is better.

I have a lot too, but I usually go solo, so I am still good at 27k. I do feel the srm is causing the problem by holding the rpm on up shifts though. Oh f, more crap to replace
