p.s. Sorry I know this is waaay off topic.

I built a very simple oil cooler cover/shroud to block air to my 34 row. It works very well getting the temps up in the winter. I did what this guy did (post #58), easy and cheap:

Slightly off-topic, but did you work out the staged fuel system upgrades? As much as I want the RRP, I feel I need to get into the stage 2 fuel system that you have been working on (AND I am betting that it is on your car already).

I am trying hard to find ways to improve my Greddy setup and NOT jump ship to go the Fast Intentions kit (since that is what I wanted from the beginning). Make no mistake, Fast Intentions is doing it right on a multitude of fronts and I am not making a derogatory statement in anyway. If I would have waited another 18 months, I would have had one of the first kits (but that is neither here nor there). I believe that smoothing out my fuel system operation and performance will be the best effort while making minor, but essential upgrades to a pretty good system. That and I need to find a radiator that won't leak at the upper hose neck within a year (this last one only lasted six months before it would eat a whole bottle of coolant).

EDIT:

Nevermind. I just read your post about the fuel system upgrades................

I know where youre coming from. Between the Fast Intentions system and the Boosted Performance systems... all bases are covered for available up-to-date trends in high-end turbo systems. That said, I am pleased with my Greddy kit and its horsepower potential is WAY up there. The only real changes I made to the kit are the wastegate setup (cause I prefer on-manifold wastegates, so I basically revert the wastegate system back to how they originally used their manifolds on the first 350z kit), and I made a very nice oil feed setup to ditch their hokey T's and hoses. The overall fit of the system is nice, and I have nothing bad to say about it. It has given me not a single issue daily driving the last few years. But of course its pricing, do to the exchange rate, makes it rather over-priced for what you get compared to the US made (or Canada ;)) competition.

You find yourself with the Greddy system, and there isnt much reason to remove it. I am in the same boat. It would be one thing if there was some major fault with it... but there isn't. It really does work, fit, and perform even though its not the most exciting and up-to-date system.

The staged fuel systems are mostly ready to go and everything is in a state of constant refinement as I work out production parts. Things that are not stamped as "COMPLETE" are all close enough that if someone needed it, I would simply just complete it. To make that easier, my 370z is sitting on jackstands with no fuel system, and its going to be like that for a while. This gives me the ability to instantly construct any remaining fuel system part for it on the spot. There is a CNC 8 feet away from the car, in a shop full of everything needed to build any fuel system items.

Hate them.

I am thinking its more likely that the package wasnt shipped Friday like I was told it was, rather than it being their fault.

Lets catch up on the phone soon and work out your needs and I can start packing up a box for you! Text me at XXX-XXX-XXXX any time.

I definitely agree with you about the system being pretty good. It works like advertised and fits properly. The things that you changed are pretty much things that I want to change. Once I get my pennies back in shape, I am going to be spending some money with you and Fast Intentions to finally complete my modifications. I just need to make sure that the Tahoe is up to the task of being my DD while the Z is getting hooked up. Thanks for the reassurance and it's good to know that you are constantly pecking away at some goodies for the community. To bad your beast is taking the hit for it. I will touch base with you as soon as I get done with replacing my radiator............again :eekdance:

Parts came in today so I can resume shipping. They sent to the old address again! It's crazy that 16 months later, companies I order from 4-5 times a month still mess up and use the old address occasionally. Even worse... Once a year or so, ups will redirect a package of mine to a house I haven't lived at in over 10 years! For no explainable reason.

I ran the CNC from 2pm yesterday to 2pm today so I don't think I will be going back to work to ship tonight. Watch for tracking numbers tomorrow afternoon.

AzSpeng 01-14-2014 08:35 PM

24 hours ahhh you can do more....hell i was at the shop 7am yesterday, ran parts, fell asleep in my office at 2am, back at it at 6am and im still here running parts ;)

phunk 01-14-2014 08:51 PM

I would love to be able to pass out at the shop but the a-holes next door are bumping their damn subwoofers from 7am to midnight 7 days a week.

AzSpeng 01-14-2014 09:10 PM

thats when you move :) where Im at its niiiice and quiet! except for 15,000rpm spindle speeds humming along ripping through a big ol block of aluminum

phunk 01-15-2014 09:19 PM

packin boxes now!!!!!

AzSpeng 01-15-2014 11:39 PM
