I see you're a Englishtown regular? I used to go there a few times a year until I moved here. Nice track! I just don't like how crowded it would get there.

I keep mine at 35psi, same as what I roll on the street. But I might try lowering it to 25ish next time.

jnaut 06-19-2010 07:32 AM

The only negative thing about them is that its hard to launch in 1 st gear, and it will spin the tires between the 1st to 2nd gear shift and also from 2nd to 3rd. It works well on the 7 AT, but it hurts your gas mileage by 20 %. you turn and extra 700 rpm over stock @ 100 km.

the exhaust /headers come in about 3w weeks + tune...ima be all over u!! until u get the sc , that is lol

what rim/tire set-up on ur 12.8 pass?

Z eliminator 06-19-2010 08:17 AM

stock 19 inch sports set up bridge stone 275 45 19.
my preasure was 27 psig.

ilive2win 06-19-2010 11:51 PM

thanks guys. im going to try lowering the tires presure somewhere between 22-27 psi this coming friday and see if i can get off the line a little better

Houston Raceway Park, Fri. June 25, 80 degrees, 80% humidity, press. 30"
Best run out of 7 runs:

R/T - .610
60' - 2.081
330 - 5.689
1/8 - 8.619
MPH - 86.27
1000 - 11.174
1/4 - 13.333
MPH - 105.23

It was a really typical SE Texas summer night, warm and humid! Oh yeah, forgot to mention that the tank was full of gas too!

I'm closing in on my goal of low 13's stock. I've gotten a little faster each time at the track this year. I'm finally getting better at launching the car, been hitting 2.0x pretty consistently now. Gotta work on my shifting next...

First time running the car with the Stillen oil cooler, so I guess I'm not 100% stock anymore? Maybe 99% stock? :icon17:

So I got some baseline numbers Saturday night. It was hot and humid! 85 degrees, 75% humidity, 29.96 barometric pressure, 19ft above sea level.

60': 2.245
330': 6.057
1/8 et: 9159
1/8 mph: 7970
1000': 11.783
1/4 et: 14.011
1/4 mph: 103.17

I'm very disappointed in my ET. I was happy with my MPH though. I'm pulling 22mph in the last 1/8 mile, so I'm not shifting slow. I just need to work on my 60' times. I averaged 2.0s in my G35, but that was with a unsprung 6-puck clutch. The stock clutch is soo light! It's a lot different to drive. I'm not a correction factor guy, but with the DA correction factor, it was 13.6 @ 106mph

Glad to see another 6MT owner posting some slips, Ryan. How's the track prep up there? And is Saturday test & tune runs?

I've got a few Z friends up in the Tampa area, might stop this month or next.

Bradenton usually has pretty good prep, BUT this was some event called "Street Heat". It was from 8pm-2am. It was advertised as being a street racing night at the track. It didn't seem any different than a normal test & tune night, except NOS was their giving out free energy drinks (love that stuff!) and there was a DJ. Normal test and tune nights are Thursdays and I think Saturdays. They have one Funday Sunday a month, too.

Bradenton is where I ran my 12.2 @ 116 in my G35. I will go back once I have my Stillen G3 intakes, Berk HFC, and HKS exhaust on. It's all sitting in my garage...along with 20" IForged wheels. I'm just waiting on my spacers and springs to get here now.

Cool. One of these days I'll stop by for a weekend, maybe do some runs on a new (to me) track.

You had me going until you said 20" wheels. :stirthepot:
