Here's what we are up against:

My only answer would be power difference. The 350Z is already a winning car and the 370Z is capable of ~30-40rwhp more than the 350Z. Torque goes up as well. Weights are close on the two cars so you just put an even faster car than the already winning car in the category.

Because the 370 is smaller, lighter, stiffer and more powerful than the 350, which is already a class winner.

...There is a good balance right now at the top of STU between the AWD cars, the 350Z, and the C5. If the 370Z were put in the class there is a risk it would push all of the current cars in the class out of contention. If there are enough people who would build 370Z to make STU a spec class around that car, that addition could be seen as a net positive. At this point, I don't think there is enough interest in the car to justify that move.

I personally don't see the 370Z getting moved anytime soon based on all this. Maybe if they open boost tables in ST for the turbo cars they'll have enough of an advantage over the 350z to open the door back up for the 370z.
