Let my buddy drive my z at a bmwcca event. Looks like I've got a co driver for next season. :D

For anybody looking to modify their car from stock to ST or SP or SSM, I've got most of the parts you need, all of them barely used:

For those of you that are trying to get the 370Z moved from STR to STU and haven't heard about the new push to open up boost limits in the ST classes, you might want to start writing your letters opposing it now.
Long story short, since it's not possible to verify the boosted cars aren't altering their boost control via ecu tuning there is a big push to allow open boost for the turbo cars in the ST classes. If this goes through you'll end up with STU being spec boost buggies which obviously would hurt the 370Z if it ever gets moved there. |

The other thing to consider is the area under the curve. Just because the car doesn't have huge gains up top doesn't mean the usable power and torque don't increase dramatically. |

If somebody drafts the letter I'll send one in. I just hope they make one change at a time: let the z in, see how it does, if it's dominant then let the awd guys have boost next season.
|
I sent a letter in a couple weeks ago although it was hastily written so I wouldn't recommend anyone copy it. The short version of it was that if the boosted ST cars want to adjust boost tables then they need to go run in SP.
Honestly, as there is no good way to enforce the current "no adjusting boost" rule in ST the SEB will most likely act on that quickly. |
Season closing event is tomorrow. It will be my second full season in the Z. I was really happy with the way the car drove but I know I need to make some improvements. For me I would like to try square 285 RE71 and a smaller front sway bar in the off-season. Once things get going I plan to buy some dampers, maybe midway through the season just for budget reasons.
What else is everyone planning on doing as things slow down? https://c8.staticflickr.com/9/8293/2...fc845a01_z.jpgAutoX_5798 by lthnmsrtkn, on Flickr |
Smaller front bar?
We run all year here so I just plan on putting these new tires to work |

We have a winter series here that is a less competitive than summer. It's a good time to test things out. |

Well we don't have a winter in Florida, so there is no slowing down, my local club just started it's 2016-2017 season. There was another 370z out there today, he got me by 0.3s but we both beat the viper that was out there :)
My new oil cooler worked great, and the new tires felt great too, I'm pretty happy with my setup right now, at least until my skills improve ;) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
